Winnipeg looks dead in the water.
The Isle/Bruins and VGK/Col are really good series

 

They had no business beating that USA team, honestly. But USA gonna USA. Look dominant all tourney and drop the ball when it counts. Pathetic.

 

I certainly did not expect Winnipeg to bog down like that. I still don't think Montreal is actually good, but can't argue with the results.

 

What chance do you think the Habs against either Colorado or Vegas?

 

Honestly, I believe very little. I do think that division was a bit weak this year, so that has to play a role. I thought maybe Toronto would be the 1 team that could make some noise. I still don't see much in the way of firepower from Montreal. They got the powerplay going a little bit now, but it's not really something to fear. I think both Vegas and Colorado are so relentless with the puck, I just don't see how Montreal can keep the play outside. Both of those teams transition so fast, that I don't know that their game plan will work. That being said, I have been wrong a lot this year, so I won't be shocked if I am wrong again, right? lol.

 

It is refreshing to see you applying present-day values and regulations to the Scheifele hit. For years I have laughed at Leaf's fans saying things like, "This is the Year", "Babcock will get them straightened out", or "Habs don't stand a chance" This year was the first time they even had me thinking there was something to them as they closed out the season. I was never confident Habs would get where they are but Play-offs are a different game. As a Habs Fan living in Toronto I take a lot of crap from Leaf's fans that can't swallow what happened to their team. It seemed that no Leaf fan had the capacity to acknowledge the Scheifele hit was punishable. Kudos to you for your analysis.

You are right.
I mean, Pens losing was tough but then Montreal takes out my other 2 teams. Brutal. Lol. But props to them. They are playing a less physical LA Kings Cup run, type of hockey.
