For when I put a bumper, winch, skid plates and sliders on. Or are those a little aggressive for that?

Most places, including OME themselves, don't reccomend 882s anymore. 883's and top plate spacers may be a better option if you're looking for lift, but I'll let others chime in.

BTW, my 881's only lost 1/8" with the plate bumper and skids.

That makes sense. Thanks you guys glad I have you to help me. Are the 883's really stiff when you're on the pavement? Keep in mind this truck still has to be my daily driver

So I think this is the kit I am going to buy and have them either leave the 881's or do the 883's. I'm not quite sold on either one yet so I'm gonna do my research and look around for both and I'm still keeping an eye out for the 882's even though they are not recommended. What's the reason do you guys know?

I'm still going to recommend the 882's. I have experience with both the 882s and the 883s and I prefer the ride quality of the 882s and the load handling ability is hardly different from the 883s. No offense to the guys suggesting the 883s but they are basing their opinions off of internet discussions and theory. None of them that I know of have any real experience with both sets of coils. If they did, I would bet money they would prefer the 882s.

Do what you think you want but I'm just giving my opinion. And for what its worth, Cruiser Outfitters know what they're talking about.

I do believe you about cruiser outfitters but I was just looking at wheelers because of the 883's. I have not ordered it yet and am still comparing kits and prices. Pros and cons but lets not get hostile about it. I just want to learn about this stuff

I'm not being a dick. You can still recommend the 883s all you want. I'm just saying that you're only experience with the OMEs is the 883s, which is fine. They're a good spring and I have no problem with you recommending them based on your personal experience.

But don't you think it's useful info if someone has experience with more than one product to be able to point out differences and pros/cons between the two?

No reason to get all offended.

Well I finally got around to ordering everything. Ordered my lift: OME, nitrocharger sport shocks, 882's, Dakar leaf pack, greaseable shackles, the whole shebang. Also ordered a B.A.M.F BPV plate. Both should be here before the week is done. Now to begin the never ending modding.

I guess I'm getting "kunty" in my old age. Still no reason to be offended and butthurt. It's the internet for crying out loud, if something this small is getting under your skin it's time for some thicker skin.

    Awesome man!

Get that thing put togeather and lets go snow bashing! Too bad you're getting it right at the end of wheeling season.

Let me know if you ever head out west of you to find less snow to do some wheeling this winter. I'd put up with a couple hour drive to get the truck out some more.

    Thanks you guys
Yeah definitely. What really got this into motion was the tires my mom got me for winter driving. She knew my tires were shot so she got the duratracs and they are too big so she threatened me to buy the lift before winter came. I'm not too mad about it though. Gotta have a motivation one way or another:D

Why doesn't my mom buy me awesome tires and encourage me to buy a lift?!

If being right makes me a dick and "kunty" then I guess I'm guilty as charged.
