Oh you bastard front diff needle bearing. Looks like a ECGS Clamshell bearing is in my near future. Finally though, a solution to my highway vibes that come and go.

    Mayhap a bushing/bearing/whatever...and a locker order...????

I dipped my grille yesterday. Don't know why it took so long to do.

Also took the headlights off. I need some OEs like super quick. Nothing local on CL. Those lights/housings were ugly, had broken tabs and had the weirdest and worst light output/beam I have ever seen. Honestly dangerous to drive with, barely lit up the road. Coming back from Levi's house when I got the bed was...it really sucked.

I may or may not also go without a front bumper for a minute. I'm surprised the thing was still on there honestly. I took 2 screws out and the thing fell straight off.

Ordered headlights. Some cheap crap off Amazon, BLHLM style. Do what I can to run an extra bead of sealer along the seams. Got bulbs too, LED. Cause f it.

Played around getting a switch n stuff set up for an aux light.

Have a temporary solution for a bumper. Involved a sawzall. Kinda like it, got some ideas to improve in it also. Post some pics.

Cut the sides off the bumper leaving the valance area. The D/S was broken up to the top of the lower valance anyway. It'll be better than nothing for a bit. Would like to see if I can't get the bumper section up underneath the grille somehow.

It is what it is really.

D/S section was cracked up the valance edge. It was zip tied together in another spot just adjacent to the crack. It was floppy as hell and my tires were hitting it when I turned near full lock. It's a decent compromise to not having anything but exposed condenser and radiator. Get these new headlights and put em in and see how the front looks.

I really just wanted to show off dem front tires!

This is half the fun of this truck, I don't have to give to many fucks. It's a toy Toyota.

Sweet deal. How are you on short notice/impromptu wheeling notice?

If the kiddos go spend the night at a grandparents, I could always hit you up and bring my wifey along.

I had to throw my $ at safety for the moment. Gotta see. The day light is getting less and less.

Its all Amazon stuff, so, eh. Headlights. Give the LED bulbs a shot. Bulbs are designed well actually, hoping they work out.

Little 8" light bar. Working on getting it in the grille. Going to put 2 in. One each side of the logo emblem.

ECGS bushing and seal too for front diff.

I still have plenty of time to get a locker before aop.

New HL assemblies. Front bumper mod is 50/50 sorta neat/sorta retarded. It'll work for now.

    Aux lights in the grille.

Is that just the stock bumper chopped up? I think that looks sick,
    Very minimalist looking!

That it would be. Thanks! It is a bit different look, not one that you see often, lol.

60 seconds with a Sawzall and 2/3 of it was history. The D/S half of the bumper was practically falling/breaking off anyways. I had been hoping that I could do some simple work with the crush bumper to where I could get the bumper piece and grille flush but it was not so.

I should hit it with some Plasti. Freshen up the faded color.

You should replicate what you have there but in steel, I’d rock that look!

Wife's stepbrother is a welder/fab kid who I talk to often and get along with. He'd definitely be willing to help with any welding and parts fab. I think even I could come up with something pretty basic and simple.

    Switch for the grille lights.

It's a basic rocker switch...fitted into one of the Mictuning Amazon switches designed to fit in the blank spots.

This is how this topic went: The Mictuning switch I got from Amazon came with no wiring instructions. Left in the dark on the topic I ended up frying/shorting the switch trying to figure the wiring out. Oops. I took the fried switch apart and saw where I the blew the little mother board out.

Luckily, there was a previously installed, also fitted, basic fog light switch, which I took out when I removed the sides of the front bumper. So I took it apart too. I took the guts out of it, and put it back together with the Amazon switch and had a new, non fried switch. When I went to go play with the push button function, especially installed in a slot, it would not engage/disengage correctly 100% of the time. I put a little rubber washer inside the switch to make the board not jiggle and the engagement problems went away. But the earlier engagement problems still bugged me. Can't have switches not work when you want to press them, plus it seemed to prone to failure. Fragile little things.

It was irritating enough I went and bought a rocker switch, took one of the old cases from a switch, modded it a little bit to make the rocker fit and there it is.
