This is one of the major reasons I havent bought a landcruiser yet. I need somewhere to put it on a lift and not give a fuck about finishing it in one day.

I already know every bushing will need to be replaced, might as well do every seal as well, and on and on it goes.

I dislike messing around with oem parts that have over 5000 miles on them. So here’s a simple solution.

Simple if you have $3k laying around!

I decided to divert some of the money we made off the Herndon house to build a 20x25 garage behind our house and put a lift in. It's the fulfillment of a life long dream. Nick @Darkgoatracer is building it though his construction company and killing it. Slab was just poured Monday and framing will happen on Saturday. Just about ready to order the lift. I'm getting pumped!

You built it with a lift in mind? That's sweet.

Looks like I'll be spending a lot of time at your house. Mark, check out Greg Smith Equipment for a lift. Cheapest prices I've found for a good two-post. My friend had one for a few years and served him good. And before they start doing electrical be sure you get a few 240v hook-ups in that garage. At least three. One for welder, one dedicated for a lift, and one for a real air compressor. You may want one more for a heater, but that's on you!

Yes, I worked with the roof truss manufacturer to make sure there will be enough clearance. It will be a tall garage and will block the view from the kitchen sink, but oh well lol.

Hell yeah, that's the idea is to have mod days here! I'm ordering the Atlas 9OHSC (which is/was rep'd by Greg Smith, I think they got bought cuz it's on a Tooltopia site, the guy I called tried to explain it to me but it was pretty confusing).

Forgot to reply to the comment about electrical. We're putting in a 100 amp subpanel that will be able to power the lift, air compressor, welder and plasma cutter. You can see the stub ups on the left, one of which is for the feeder to the subpanel.

Good. I keep forgetting they joined forces. I get a lot of tools from Tool Topia, so it was a good match for me. You can't beat $1800 for a 9k lb two-post lift. I keep looking at their low-clearance version. Problem is I need electric run to the garage and my garage door tracks raised, so I'm not sure it's worth it over one of the portable deals.

Sweet! I wish I had thought mine through a little more. I have one 240 outlet in the garage. I want/need more!

    WORK TRUCK! WORK TRUCK!

But on the same note, I was pricing some go-fast stuff and it was around $3500. Then I looked at a long block with the same stuff already installed. For $3500. How does this make sense?

No. Why? Because more plans were made for me. The next weekend? No. Same reason. :annoyed:

Looking like the 16th is the first weekend I can go.
