    Ok, lets plan to meet in West then! It looks like it it 2 hours and 25 minutes from Tyler to Czech stop in West...

    So if we want to arrive in Hidden Falls at like 9:15-9:30... we would need to depart West at 6:55am according to Google.

    So plan to meet in West at say... 6:40 am?

    Where do you want to meet in West? Czech stop, Slovacek's, Village Bakery?

    Either CB or the Baofengs work... I have two Baofengs and a hard mounted GMRS radio in the truck and i have my baofengs programmed to work with my GMRS radio... so two people can borrow my baofengs or one person and then I have a portable one for spotting and around camp.

    I really tested out the range of my CB with a friend a while back and we ended up being able to transmit and receive almost 7 miles away in the city with lots of trees, buildings and hills in the way. We both have 4 ft antennas though.
