Hollister hills offroad and camping July 19-20th

hmm i messed up and thought i lost my wallet yesterday but it was just sitting on a shelf at my office lol.. I ended up canceling my debit card so i most likely won't have new cv's for this trip..

Honestly I don't really care much so long as someone with a winch is coming. If a cv breaks on the trail and i don't have a spare do we just take it out or?

 

Yeah, we can replace a cv on the trail, but I'd rather not you'll prob be ok.

 

If u have proper tools, takes longer to get the tools out than to change one

 

I might be able to make it on Sunday, just unsure at the moment, but I do however have a winch, and also if your planning to remove your cv axle make sure you have the correct nut socket, I got 34mm, not too sure with the taco.

 

We are planning to wheel Saturday :-/ I always carry the tools including 34mm socket (might be 35 can't remember off hand)z

 

Oh and while we 'can' do it, let's try not to break a cv

 

What about just camp at hollister hills? All the blm land nearby is to campsite only.

Prolly wheel and then camp. Saturday night - I'm thinking it will be tough for everyone to get there for camping on fri night. What do y'all think? Would love to have you out as always glen!

Dayum. Not yet, been inundated with work and stuff. Will explore some places tonight. I know pinnacles isn't too far.

Got my taco a month ago. 6k miles so far, a few hundred on trails.

Even though I told myself I'd pay it off before adding to it I've already found myself ordering sliders...

 

Haha, your stuck now, once you join the forum it's all over. I was gonna stay stocking for awhile... Now one year later...

 

So for camping, I would honestly be down with just wheeling sat, camping *at hollister hillss* on sat night, and then maybe a little wheelin in the morning and head out. The only question mark, is the 4wp appreciation day, but how bad could it be?? Pinnacles is another option, a little south of hh. I would be down to get a group camping spot. They're like 75 for the night, and we can just roll up and have space for trucks. They 'say' two vehicle limit but....

Last minute gig came up for Sunday morning, so I can't camp out on Sunday, but will for sure be wheeling on sat. Not sure about camping out on Friday... If we do, who would be in for that?
