So we are planing our next meet....

Something in the middle ground so hopefully a lot of people could meet from all over the state. So far the plan is Sunday March 11th in TorC/ elephant butte area, I have heard about the trail up to the radio towers, as well as a few trails I have done in the area.

Here is a google map of the area

    http://maps.google.com/maps?q=87901&...87901&t=h&z=13

and for those of you other then Raymond, that DO have a facebook, here is a elpaso tacoma FB page. Where started talking about it and other stuff. So who could make it?

Camping at the lake and Off-road meet Sat-Sunday March 10-11th at Elephant Butte lake/TorC NM

    So here is the plan...

We are going to go wheeling around TorC on Sunday, and some people wanted to go camping at the lake on Sat. night and so its turned into a camping/wheeling meet which should be pretty awesome, so bring your camping gear, pets, food and drinks and your trucks! If you don't want to camp that's fine too, We will be meeting up Sunday morning to hit the trails, and if anybody is off Monday I will be staying there until Monday too.

This is a nice central location for both the Elpaso and ABQ folks to meet up as well as anybody else, so come on, lets go!! More details to follow.

Here is the google map of the area.

Darn,,, will be out of town in Midland Texas. No getting out of it, but I'd rather be camping & wheeling.

Ok folks Colin and I are looking at trails for the weekend. Wanted to give everyone some options and get opinions. I think everyone is planning on arriving on Sat and camping that night correct? The trail Im looking at will take us up Monticello Canyon with the option of going to see the Very Large Array. According to google maps this will take about 4.5-5 hours (about 100 miles total), but due to photo shoots, bathroom and leg stretching breaks Im sure it will end up being a 6-8 hour trip. Going up the Canyon is about 33 miles, then its another 40 or so miles to the VLA. Once at the VLA we can take 60 back to the interstate and depending on what day we do the run, head to the Lake or home. We always have the option of just doing the Canyon trail and then heading back to lake or home as well. Let me know what you think.

Here is a google map from the Lake to the end of the Canyon trail:
    http://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=N...mrsp=3&sz=9&via=1,2&t=h&z=9&source=gplus-ogsb

Here is a GM from the end of the Canyon trail to the VLA:
    http://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=N...CAIdFViW-Q&mra=mrv&t=h&z=10&source=gplus-ogsb

And here is a GM from the end of the Canyon trail back to the Lake:
    http://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=N...a=dme&mrsp=1&sz=10&t=h&z=10&source=gplus-ogsb

Here is a GM from the Lake though the Canyon and to the VLA:
    http://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=N...sp=0&sz=10&via=1,2&t=h&z=10&source=gplus-ogsb

Also here is a trip report from someone else of just the Canyon:
    http://www.everytrail.com/view_trip.php?trip_id=589077

ALSO WE NEED TO DECIDE ON A MEET UP TIME/PLACE

Okay all, is there anyone interested in buying my whole rear axel with e-locker? It's off a 2007 Tacoma 4door. The differential fluids have been changed every 30,000 miles about and in perfect working order. We could spend a couple hours at my place pulling your whole assembly out and putting mine in. Just have to unbolt shocks/ leaf pack (10 bolts), disconnect drive shaft (4bolts), disconect brake lines and electrical harness... Roll yours out and put mine in, connect everything, bleed the brakes, and I can wire up the electronic rear locker to your truck and have wire diagram for it also. Could also swap out drive shafts so u can have my brand new Toyota carrier bearing and u joints (worth about $500 parts and labor).

    Thinking $1200 For everything.

Also have a set of extended travel rear bilstine 5100 (4"-6" lift) with a set of lift blocks that are less than a year old... Would need your factory or what ever parts to go back on my truck.

This is for only good for the next week or two because the truck will be gone after that.

I live in Rio Rancho NM.
