I would be up for saturday or sunday. Just let me know cause I have to take the boss to cruces so she can go shopping. Old navy is having a sale and she wants to buy some more school clothes for the boy. I would like to ease into things, since I don't know a lot of people around here. Big crowds make me nervous, and stupid people piss me off. The last bunch I went out with had no common sense and several trucks got damaged for no reason whatsoever. Comes from having a heavy foot and a narrow arroyo to get through. Did I mention the crap stock tires as well? I am running firestones at, but have a set of mud terrains as well.
    Hit me up. Darth

Hey just letting everyone know we are putting a trail run together this saturday, we are going to coyote canyon in tulerosa. We are going to meet up at 0900 Saturday at the Texaco truck stop next to Lowes home improvement. If your going to go let me know so I can get a count of people and I know how many trucks to wait for... The trails have bypasses so if you don't want to do something just go around.

Hey man, whats up? Its Matt

I might be able to make it Sunday, I requested Monday off. Once I find out I will let you know. Snow run or rocks? There is a place called Rattlesnake canyon that I started doing with the Jeep guys (had to return to town early), have you heard of it?

Cool, when you get back let us know. We usually do a little wheeling trip at least once a month.

Thank you. I remember seeing the white truck a couple of times, I have also seen the 1st gen thats parked beside it in the photo quite a bit, I think there is another one that has an ARB bumper on base as well.

I've heard about rattlesnake but I've never gone. I just don't know how advanced it would be and I don't know how many people are coming either. I'm thinking more coyote Canyon then the snow because I don't think I'll be enough snow plus I'd like to make all the way to the waterfall on Coyote Canyon.

    Where is rAttlesnake?

Did a little trail scouting for the upcoming meet this weekend, made it all the way to my fav. waterfall place. So it looks like it should be a fun trip this sunday.

Sounds good to me man, I need to make it to that waterfall anyway. Hopefully I have Monday off so I can go. I'll prob skip going to the snow, I still have not got all the mud off from the last trip (no I'm not scared of sliding into a ravine, HONEST!! lol)

I like the area, its a smaller town but you have two largish cities within 50-90 min drive if you need something. The base does have its negatives (as with any base). There is quite a bit off wheeling spots around here, we have the whole Lincoln National Forest right in our back yard (its about 15-20 min from base, 10-15 from the town) then you have other places in Southern New Mexico, Colorado and Utah are not far away (its 10 hrs to get to Moab, 8.5 hrs to Colorado Springs). I have not been that far North yet, but plan on it before I leave.
