I made the mistake of buying my first new car with leather seats, now I don’t want to go back. Only reason I’m looking at cloth is due to the huge price jump for softex and all the other luxury features

Cloth used to be an upgrade to vinyl. Now we pay a premium for Softex, which is ... vinyl.

His skid plate may not have any real off road function but it does serve as added weight to hold the front end down for those moments when he's clutching the hole shot off the green light.

Exactly! We've had 2 Softex vehicles now and I don't like it, I'll be upgrading my wife's new 4Runner to real leather, way better. I actually like the new cloth seats not nearly as cheap as the old stuff, we'll see how they hold up to stains though with that light gray.

On a luxury or sports car I'd probably go leather. For a utility vehicle softex is hard to beat. It's literally maintenance free and more durable than leather. Cloth gets dirty way too easy and is harder to clean.

I always do waterproof nylon washable seat covers and they usually work great over The cheap cloth

Majority of G4 sales are for fleet vehicles not personal vehicles.

It wouldn't surprise me if the majority of SR Xtra Cabs were fleet sales but I doubt if that is more than 10% of total sales.

It's telling that fleet managers already have faith in the new platform. The newest generation already embarrasses the old generation when it comes to every performance metric, once its reliability is established, it will be golden. That's not to disparage the 3rd gen in any regard. There will always be a market for old, reliable, cheap trucks...........

I just went on carfax and saw lots and lots of used 2024 ranger raptor for sale including used 2025 as well, within 500 mile radious from me, did same search for 2024 or 25 used on trd pro or trailhunter and saw none, maybe still too early to tell, but halo trim wise, wonder why there's already so many used raptor out there.

too many supply and not a lot of demand, simple as that no matter what brand, economy plays a major role as well, price is high through out industry, one thing is for sure, Toyota would hold its value better than most brand no matter what current gen it is, with exeption of the current Tundra fiasco.

I did a nationwide carfax search. 2024/25: 133 Raptors, 57 Pros, 29 Trailhunters. Without knowing how many were sold I'm not sure we can draw any conclusions.

Edit: 1,275 Toyota dealers in USA, 6? Pros per dealer = 7,650
2,847 Ford dealers in USA, 4? Raptors per dealer = 11,388

Lots of used G4 for sale in general. Even more than G3.
