To be fair, they’re probably getting booshit dates from Toyota or whoever the outfitter is.

What did one vulture say to the other?

Patience my ass, I’m going to kill something.

Waiting sucks, but it’s exactly what you want.

If you cancel the order as sales person is going to call the next buyer on the list and offer the truck to them.

Take them up on the freebies and push for more.

So much bad advice. The dealership wants to sell you the truck as much as you want it. There’s no advantage to them not getting you the truck. This is not a dealership issue it’s a port/transport issue. It appears you’re already dealing with Toyota so keep pressing them, the dealer is already pressuring their rep to get the truck through port faster.

everyone saying be an asshole has no idea how to get something accomplished. If I’m the sales staff and you go the asshole route I’ll just refund your money and sell it to someone else. Demand>>>> supply

Took me about 4 months, delivery date was pushed. Recently happened to a buddy who just picked up his 23. Delivery was constantly pushed for him as well. Moral of the story - Our trucks (the ones we wanted) eventually showed up. Hope the same for you, and the odds are in your favor.

So they're already offering accessories and they will make the first months payment ? What more do you expect. Don't be a pig and demand more. Why not wait patiently until the day comes when you pick it up, and tell the salesperson, '' You know what , don't worry about the accessories or first payment, how about a free extended warranty'' ? That is what I would do.

I am not trying to be a greedy pig and don’t think you were calling me one. I was just trying to get some unbiased opinions, because honestly I was stuck in my own echo chamber and frankly just wanted to walk away. I think I was in a situation where I couldn’t see the tree for the forest, and some of my local friends were just kinda pouring gas on the fire.

@AM6217 No worries I didn’t think there was any name calling, I edited my post above to reflect that, I hate the lack of tone on these message boards I feel like the message is sometimes lost just due to word choice or a typo.

Dumped the Tacoma, that's all it needed.
Sounds like first world Kevin problems to me.

it isn’t the dealerships fault that the truck hasn’t shown up. Why beat them up over it?

learn some patience, or change your requirements for make/model/options and buy off of a lot.

Definitely hang in there. The truck actually exists and it's just a matter of time before it finally shows up. You're getting some nice perks to help make up for the delays.

I just got a Hyundai Tucson hybrid. Same deal. I actually got an allocation that someone cancelled so delivery was only about two months out. It was stressful as I found a VIN tracking app that was linked with the dealers info. It was sobering. Car arrived in Denver at rail terminal. Dealer had a date of two days later. Then two days later and so on. It was another two weeks before vehicle moved from the lot off Titan road the 4 miles up to the dealer on Broadway. Salesman did al lot of research to figure out what happened and basically said no delivery drivers. The dealer can’t go pick it up. They have to wait until the shipping contract is fulfilled before they assume liability for the car. Completely out of their control. Needless to say I am now a happy new owner. Just needed some patience

@mattleegee I had a 2022 Army Green TRD Off-Road that got totaled that I waited a year to get, a real estate agent ran a stop sign pulled out in front of me. That wait was easier as I had my 2015 PreRunner to drive while waiting. This will be my replacement vehicle for the TRD Off-Road. I was driving my 2000 Jeep Wrangler while I was waiting but motor blew at 300K a week before I was told I got the allocation.
