Patience my friend. My truck was supposed to be delivered before yours was even allocated. Delay after delay and months at the port I finally picked it up yesterday. I should have tried to squeeze some stuff out of my dealership LOL

@GBourne There is a little more to the story than what I posted, it isn't just a matter of I want my truck. The sales and regional sales manager both stated that if I came in an did the purchase paperwork, they would be able to get the truck expedited from the port. So my heartburn is mainly with the hefty down payment, however we were able to reach an agreement yesterday, so they will cover any an all payments until the truck arrives, any additional add ons will be discussed at delivery, this is all now in writing. So my issue wasn't so much with waiting on the truck ( I waited about a year for my 2022 TRD Off-Road, that got totaled because someone couldn't take their face outta their phone), it was mainly with the amount of the down payment and holding the bag until this one arrives. So now that I feel that I am covered (payment, interest, vehicle price, and over $20K down payment) and have everything in writing, I have no problem waiting.

@HoppyTaco I can it shows the new arrival date of 17 Jan, it was originally supposed to have been here 14 Dec and keeps sliding to the right. I have worked out a deal with the dealership, so I am willing to wait as they will make any and all payments until it arrives.

My truck had similar slipping dates as well. Holiday slowed things down. Mine will be here next week so fingers crossed that your truck isn’t on that site next week.

How or why would you be making a payment on a vehicle that you haven't even taken delivery of?

@Primo 95 I am trying to explain this as best I can, so please bear with me. I had originally ordered a replacement TRD Off-Road in lunar rock, to replace my 2022 Army Green TRD Off-Road. The Army Green Tacoma was totaled had a real estate agent on their phone, run through a stop sign and pulled out in front of me. I ordered the replacement TRD Off-road in July and was told the wait would be about a year, no problem I could drive my old Jeep in the mean time. The Jeep motor grenaded in Nov, and the dealer got me the allocation for the Trail Edition instead due to needing a vehicle and was told I would have it 30 days (which would have been and was confirmed by the dealer to be Dec 14th). No issues with me and I appreciated them being able to get me the allocation, the date kept shifting, toward the end of December I was told that the vehicle would be delivered on the 3rd of Jan (and that date would not change). So I went on Dec 27th and did all of the purchase paperwork to get the price and interest rate locked in before it raised again in Jan. So after signing the paperwork the date moved again to Jan 6, 9, 11, 13, 16, 17, 18. So I have signed all of the finance paperwork and with the dates moving I had the dealership tell me several times that they would throw in accessories and cover the delays to make my first months payment. So with the date moving closer to Feb when my first payment would be due, I kept asking them to put it in writing or to terminate the contract so I could either get something on their lot, or goto another dealer and get something that wasn't spoken for. The dealer had assured me the contract would be sent over to get the vehicle expedited out of the port and transported to the dealer, I have spoken to the sales manager and the regional guy and they have assured me that they have expedited the request to get the vehicle, but the port still hasn't opened the work order (after being told it was opened on Jan 2 earlier this week). In the mean time they also kept telling me that they would cover the payments, but wouldn't put it in writing and that was basically my only demand, since the finance paperwork was done. As long as they will cover or reimburse any payments made while I don't have the vehicle in hand I am good as I will get the vehicle eventually. They finally put in writing yesterday that they would cover any payment that needs to be made while I am waiting on the truck.

TLDR Version: I signed the paperwork because the vehicle was promised sooner that it can be delivered and maybe I was a damn fool for doing so.

I have never heard of anyone purchasing a vehicle before it actually arrives. Impressive
