The POS 1995 Civic that I had got 37mpg no matter how hard I drove it.

This plug-in thing will save 1/3 of a gallon of gas before it needs to be recharged for 3 hour, assuming electric-only mode is used. I'm not sold.

My 2000 Saturn SL1 was EPA estimated at 39/40. Had Saturn continued to produce that vehicle with minor upgrades (slight body changes, standard power equipment) it could have been sold dirt cheap and would have kept the company in business. What happened to those mid to late 90's engines that got amazing fuel economy without even trying?
