it should be :( not :)

I was under the hood trying to figure out how on earth I am going to fit this badass custom new battery hold down I recently got, because the back hole by the fusebox WILL NOT fit the oem existing stick with hook on it (not exactly sure what its called) ... i guess its just called a rod?

I was so disgruntled with this that I failed to make sure I had cleaned everything up before closing the hood and heading off to do a photo shoot and enter the TW Ride of the Month for March https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/tw-ride-of-the-month-photo-challenge-march.597665/page-5

I got back and was putting the old hold down and misc parts into a box and I thought 'Where is that old hook ona stick' good grief I left that on the top of the intake manifold and was driving around a couple miles with that ready to slip off and possibly get into the fan area and cause me a world of grief :anonymous: and possibly thousands of damage if that got wedged into the radiator and fan :frusty:

Not near as Bad as The fine people that are in such a hurry to move wind mill pieces and forget to remove the work clamp ( 500amp C clamp work connection) dragging a $20,000.00 welder down through the shop till either the input cable or the work cable connections fail.

If it makes you feel any better after an oil change I forgot the bottle I put under the little oil filter drain hole. Started it up and heard a little chirp/squeak, thought maybe serpentine belt was going bad. Ran some errands, smell something funny, check under the hood and there it is. A hole was melted into the bottle by a pulley. So disappointed in myself for that one. Could have been worse though.

I once left my entire tool pouch hanging on the passenger side mirror after replacing the radio antenna. Drove off and never saw it again. Amprobe, meter, everything... :(
