100% uphill with 285's with a trailer and the engine hammered?

    none....yet
I feel you mang. I'm on an island so I rarely take this truck past 45mph. And to all you prius fan's out there, I was rocking a used '10 for about 5 years and averaged 41.9... driving on the island I would lose track of the last time I filled it with gas. Great little car, except I almost tore the bumper off going down the dirt roads.

It will slowly start to decrease as you use it more. My first 10k miles I was averaging 22-24. I am at 40k now and average 15-18 mpg.

If I can get 17mpg on a long drive on the back roads of ME with a 2500 Ram, it's certainly possible that you could get 24 with a Tacoma. Definitely hand calculate it at the pump if you want to be sure, though. The readouts on the dash vary from "kind of accurate" to "the computer's been drinking" in both directions, low and high.

I have a 2017 and with stock tires I always ended around 21-22 per tank. Now with the 265-75/16s I get about 19 per tank. 20 if I’m lucky. It’s been like this for 35,000 miles unless I tow the boat or drive like a dingaling

Tree loving California hippie here: turns out you can drive a truck with bad gas mileage AND take care of the planet. Lotta folks giving me shit about that too, haha. Not mutually exclusive.

Reminds of a study I read years ago where in especially eco minded neighborhoods in California all the solar panels were installed on the curb side of the house regardless of where the sun was best. What makes a Prius special is everyone knows it's a Prius.

    It's real.
I drove 6000+ miles from KY to ID and back in September and really paid attention to the MPGs. At "normal" interstate speeds (70ish) I got 19 or 20 MPGs. On US highways/backroads doing 55-65mph I got 22-23 MPGs. On interstates Out West with the absurdly high speed limits (doing 80-90mph) my mileage plummeted.

Not saying you're not getting that, but it looks like your tank is full, and the computer usually resets on a refill. If I drive downhill right after filling up, I expect to get those numbers at first, until it starts to average out.

I would get similar results driving around 55mph and easy on the acceleration when I was stock.
