Hi all. Given home air filters are pretty much sold out everywhere and the air quality was downgraded to Hazardous today for most of OR and WA, I figured I would share this easy home made filter. Just duct tape a good quality 3m (2000 mpr or better) Home Air filter in size 20x20x1 to the back of a box fan. Pay attention to the flow direction on the filter. Also, Be sure to seal around all sides. It’s nearly a perfect fit. It for sure sucks the air through the filter btw, I put a piece of paper up to the filter with the fan on and it was plastered to the filter.

    stay safe and healthy folks.

You dont need to duct tape it, just keep it snug against the fan and it'll do it's job. Stay safe everyone.
