Been busy. The inside is almost primed for paint. All I lack is a few ceilings. One AC unit is set and running, the other one was back ordered or something. Flooring has been delivered. I'll start that next week.
I set up a work shop in the basement.
    image.jpg
I've been doing some trim today. Making the window trim my wife wanted. Each window has nine pieces. I did this one last night, and the rest today. I still have two more to do, but I need some more (longer) material.

I'm taking the next two weeks off work to grind out a bunch of stuff on the house. I have a lot to do, and should be very busy.

Insane how much your doing yourself. Jealous of your skill and what looks to soon be a beautiful house.

Painters will finish the outside in another day or two. I will be painting the interior (already primed and ready for colors). I started the hardwoods this afternoon. 3.25" red oak goes down quick, and looks really good. I will probably jump back and forth with this and trim for the next several days. My back and legs can only handle so much at one time (not as good as I used to be).

Put down the Cypress on the screen porch today. Trying to figure out my options for finishes. Never worked with Cypress before. Love the way it smells.

I had enough leftover walnut to make another inlay on the landing in the staircase.

There is so much color in this flooring. Can't wait to see what it looks like with some finish on it. Going with a waterbase, not sure which one though. This stuff is really going to pop!

I am worn TF out. Tile, grout, baseboard, paint, stain, crown, porch posts.....on and on.......

The light on the end of the tunnel is getting brighter. Cabinets/vanities should be here within the week (if I get the flooring done). "We" are "almost" done ( I have a lot to do yet).

Driving, crazy, mad, controlled, too much, not enough........

I do have porch posts: (product of this weekend)

    Fancy crown returnsimage.jpg
    Coffered ceiling with crownimage.jpg
Staircase trimmed and stairs cut to fitimage.jpg
    Main post trimmed outimage.jpg
Handrails installed on the back deck

    Front porch ceiling installed (finally).image.jpg

As with most of the other work, I have been finishing and trimming everything myself. I've ran all the crown, base and the coffered ceiling as well. Porch ceiling, posts, handrails solo mio. Everything is coming together finally. Cabinet guys are coming tomorrow (one of the few things I didn't do). Still some big things left on my list. I'm enjoying this, even though it is killing me slowly.

Working on it. The way it's going I'm not so sure. I really wanted to be in before thanksgiving. I need a few long weekends. Unfortunately, my work schedule is about to screw that up.

This is an impressive build. Is this what you do for a living or where did you learn to do all the different skills?
