Ok. We got a bunch done. Don't mean to cliff hang you but, I know I haven't posted in a few days, but I have to put the kids to bed. I'll post some pics possibly tonight (not likely, I'm tired) maybe tomorrow. We are almost done with framing, YAY, and just about in the dry.

These long days are tough, but the payout is worth it.

This is my father-in-law on the machine. He can run this thing like a poet. I was doing something in the garage, turned around and saw he had this thing up in the porch backfilling. image.jpg

There is tons of room in the attic! Give you an idea, that header beam holding the roof is about 5' up. image.jpg image.jpg

I have been slow here lately.......but the plumbing starts this weekend. I set the tub/showers tonight and cleaned the crap out of the house the last few days. I burned a bunch of stuff (scrap wood) over the last week or so.

Might start the decks next week, which I need to do in order to get the doors/windows installed easier on the back (which should be here next week) as well.

I'm still working there everyday, it has just been little stuff for the last week. I should also have the roof (shingles) put on here in the next week or so.

Thanks for watching/enjoying this as well!

Agreed, always enjoyed framing the roof as well.

Plumbing is 80% complete. Still have to run the water lines, shouldn't be bad. Today I did find this thing though. It was crawling through the living room

image.jpg I believe it is a Polyphemus Moth. I kept it for my daughter since one of her favorite books is "The Very Hungry Caterpillar". I've hatched one before, several years ago. They are pretty cool. Google it.

Great project! Always good to see a stick built home instead of the prefabbed trusses. Good job on the house! What kind of plumbing lines are you using? What about flooring choice?

Plumbing is Pex and PVC. Floors will be hardwoods and tile, still need to decide what to put on the basement floors.
I will probably do a floating floor. I pitched the idea of staining and cutting the concrete to my better half and she didn't like that idea. I could tile it, but i'm not sure I want to do that either. I installed a swiftlock floor in my parents basement that turned out really nice, so that is the way I'm leaning.
