Does this apply if you have a carry permit? And you need to challenge that one. Seems like there might be a state law that over rules it.

Urban Shoot houses while in the service, yes. Few times without ear pro with blanks. Few times live fire with the 3M ear plugs (now in a lawsuit). Invested into Peltors after those few times.

If you’re involved in multiple shooting events in your home, move to a safer neighborhood.

Your life is more important than hearing. Shoot a round that will save your life, not a 22LR.

Curious fact: the basis of the judge .410 revolver was the VN tunnel rats who kept blowing their eardrums out with 38spc so they made .410 revolvers for them.

If you crack off an SBR in a house a couple times, you're gonna be ringing for a fair bit but youll be alive (hopefully)

One thing that would help is the likes of the Surefire Warden. Really helps project the sound away from you as opposed to a muzzle break.

On 7/15/19, the San Diego City Council passed the ordinance for all weapons in ones home. I heard there are stiff penaties for failure to comply.

Negligent discharge of a firearm. Many have done it few will admit it. I've had one in my life, and I'm old.

I had my SBR AR with a 10.5" barrel on a mat in my living room stripping the bolt while watching a movie.

Put it back together, and loaded 5 rounds in a mag to chamber them by hand to make sure the extractor was cool. Had 5 rounds laying on the floor.

Laid the rifle on the floor and put everything else away. Came back and picked it up by the pistol grip, and like a dumb ass got my finger on the trigger.

Yes a 5.56 is most loud unsuppressed shot thru a 10.5" barrel.

I swear it was like the magic bullet when JFK got shot. It went under the couch, carved a path thru my laminate floor to the concrete slab, ricocheted back up and went into the wall behind the couch without ever touching the couch. Then thru the drywall and into the block wall. I held my breath when I opened the front door to see if it went all the way thru the block...it didn't.

I was also lucky it hit the floor right next to the tile foyer. I kept several pieces of the flooring in case I ever needed it. Was simple to fix.

This is approximately where the rifle was when I picked it up. I've had tinnitus for many years, due to shooting without hearing protection when I was younger, running massive commercial printing presses for 32 years, and lots of painfully loud music. This didn't help anything.

They weren't actually .410 shot gun shell firing revolvers. What they were were a piston driven shot weapon. A "cartridge" for lack of a better work, pushed a piston that propelled a shot charge down a 40 caliber barrel. The piston upon reaching the end of its stroke stopped. The shot continued forward. The gas pressure in the piston chamber was bled off at a slower rate reducing blast. I'm not sure it ever reached much more than a trial basis.

Probably the worst thing I ever saw, sound wise, was a chopped at both ends M2 carbine. I've fired .30 carbine Blackhawks and they aren't shrinking violets. But a full auto with only a slightly longer barrel would be brutal.

As a vet, most know it was with good intention most ‘tunnel rats’ should Have the special designated equipment. But was often not the case in actually fielding based of unit mtoe/to&e. My FIL is a Vietnam vet and they just had the smallest guy at the time go in with a 1911. Classic Military procurement issues. Shit ton of money for research and development, poor execution on issuing/fielding down to platoon/individual level.

Looks like what I was talking about. From the dark recesses of my brain I think they were built on a modified commercial revolver.

Prolong exposure yes worry about your hearing. A few shots in a house isn’t going to kill your hearing. I have shot lots of firearms in shoot houses and in real life urban combat zones and my hearing is toast after a lot of repeated stuff

While I agree weapons should be secured, I don’t believe the government on any level should pass laws “infringing” on our rights to determine what methods are best for us individually.
What constantly amazes me is the way governments violate our individual rights, as determined by the supreme court and they are never brought to task by those, the justice department I believe, responsible for upholding our rights.

    locality & by juries

the last hand off by the Supreme Court was its a ' Regulated ' Right !!
