These header pieces wrap around a piece of 1" x 3 1/4" x side casing outside distance. I was considering pre-assembling the 2 pieces using traditional wood glue and nailing up as a single piece/unit. Now, I'm leaning toward using 2-3 screws (into header) to attach the 1x piece, then using glue and some brads to attach the crown style piece.

yes , the CA glue is basically a clamp that allows you to install while PVA glue is still wet

Yeah, from what I have done in the past, there are sealers, then just go over with the new floor. I have also pulled them up in the past. But that was 25 years ago and I wouldn’t do it again. What kind of floor is under the tile? Slab or wooden subfloor?

Concrete, wouldn't exactly say slab. Interesting story, the house has a crawl space and this back room was an add-on; instead of pillars and joists they poured in sand to fill the void and then several inches of concrete on top of the sand. I can't imagine this way was cheaper or less work, blows my mind.

What distance off the miter saw station wall are you placing your lights? I’m assuming they will run parallel to it. I’m thinking of 3’, but wondering if they should be closer.

my bays between the timber trusses get 4 lights each bay , 2 on each side of ridge (5/12 sloped ceiling) , lowest light is approx 3' up ceiling slope , top light at approx 8' up , so total of 16 lights . That is the general lighting in the shop . I am also adding a valence mounted 120 LED / metre undercabinet light strip along underside of cabinets over the chopsaw bench as well as a couple 3" LED spots between the bottom timbers of my centre timber truss that will shine directly on chopsaw from above (in between saw and user so no shadow) and on tablesaw / router table

Thanks. I have easy access to the attic above, I’ll start off with 3’ off the wall, I can add additional lighting later on.
I’m using 12 4’ led wraparound lights, 4,400 lumens each. I’m trying to get 100-110 lumens per square foot, at 4000k color temperature. My tiny shop is 477 sq’.

    I'm going with 5000K

my 20' of undercabinet lighting adds almost 9000 lumens and the spots another approx 3000
