Would you care to send me a PM with the cost? 2 contractors were out here yesterday, waiting on quotes.

...^^^... Kudos to you for saving the cat.

When I was a kid with a newspaper home delivering route ... I found a stray & starving male kitten. It could barely walk and was cold in the summer. My grandmother had that house cat for over 20 years. The funny thing was ... I named the cat "WINEO" because my grandparents hated any kind of alcohol. :)

So ... years later when my grandmother would take the cat to the vet ... the lady would come into the vet waiting room and ask for "WINEO" ... and my poor grandmother would wilt. She became a good sport about it later.

    First quote:
10’ high wall, we would gain almost 30’ of flat yard
    $8000 for excavation
    $8800 for block, pipe, etc.
$25,000 total for above materials and installation

570 tons of backfill 3/4” crusher run gravel, $100,000

I would have done it for $25000, they would’ve been here and done in 2 weeks.

Add in the cost of the gravel, that’s more than we paid for the house

The contractor told me “it’s not as bad as you think for materials and installation, but you’re gonna crap your pants on the cost of gravel”

I checked prices via the Internet for my area, it was showing only $15000 for 570 tons of crusher run
I’m gonna talk to him again on Friday

We may have the excavator guy come Saturday and take a look and see what our options would be to have it resloped.

Been doing a good amount of stuff. Installed 8 ceiling fans, cabinet handles, curtain rods. I also had a leak in my new house from the washing machine drain line. Thank god it wasn't worse but they did the plumbing and wall repair in the garage so now i'm waiting on them to finish up.
Trim/ Molding guy is coming today, then they're getting the painter here hopefully this week so i can finish up organizing my garage.

Had the garage door opener installed
    IMG_5783.jpg

and installed a better security plate for the front door. Used my new Dremel and chisels. came out pretty good and the door seals nice and tight.
