Eh...im all for freedom but not being an eyesore to neighbors should be a consideration imo. if it isnt an eyesore then do whatever i dont care if someone puts up a fence or deck without permit

My friend owns a shed business in Oregon. He has been having trouble finding it there for the past year. It started last year during the riots when all of Salem/Portland were boarded up. Its done nothing but get worse since then.

Read in article that said demand for fresh cut logs isn't up, but because the mills can't keep up with the demand, prices have increased to this extent.

 

My understanding is the lack of binder chemicals for the sheet goods is the current problem do to Texas not being prepared for an ice storm

 

I got about 5 sheets of OSB and 20-30 2x4s from 6ft to 12. $2k I know what I got, no lowballs. It's all coming down.

Mill curtailments due to Covid in 2020 plus unexpected increase in demand due to high housing starts and demand plus people stuck at home deciding they better do all the home renovations they've been promising the Mrs for years has created a massive supply and demand issue .

I have 660 sheets of 4 x 8 x 7/16 Zip boards on the way. They will be stored in a container on site until we are ready to use them. Looking into security cameras...

 

I decided to order a cnc router and make my own floor registers since I couldn’t find any I liked. It is letting me use up excess material and afforded me the opportunity for a new toy. Win win

 

that's 11 full lifts , how big is the container ?

 

40’ on site, and two 10’ x 30’ storage units at the end of the street.

 

It’s not enough, we want to buy all the Advantech subfloor and roof decking ASAP.

660 sheet of the 7/16 zip weighs over 30,000 lbs. I’m negotiating with a distributor for storage space, hope that works out, we’d rather move these once.

 

my lumber supplier stored a bunch of material I pre-purchased for this next client build , he recently started refusing to store product for everybody else because every contractor I know was trying to buy now for delivery in 3-6 months

 

I told the investor if he bought me a skid steer I’d let him put a container in my yard for a year.

 

And laundry room finished. Well still gotta replace the light switches tomorrow, and mount a shelf on the wall, and paint the door.. But basically done.
