Were you objecting to the looks or the space it takes? Just curious.
I should point out shelf is above head level, well unless you are 6'8" or something and well tucked in corner so unless someone is playing grabass basketball in the closet, shelf should not getting in the way of anything. Maybe I can put it a bit higher. (2nd floor tall ceilings)

Nothing wrong what you did. im just super OCD and rather not see the router, nodes, wires, etc. again thats just me. I also didnt realize it was in the closet. I have my box in the laundry room and have everything hooked up there. Screen Shot 2021-09-21 at 12.54.39 PM.jpg Screen Shot 2021-09-21 at 12.54.51 PM.jpg

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
This is what comes in new home builds. Mine is in my master closet.

Also there is an outlet inside the box which helps making it cleaner

Stud finder? I just use a magnet to find a drywall hanging screw. Works better than any electronic stud finder I’ve ever tried.

That's the "I don't want the job, but if you're desperate (or naive) enough, I'll do it" quote price. I've gotten a few of those of late. I feel your pain trying to find a painter. I could fill a page with the ordeal we recently went through, but the summary; called a dozen, 4 replied, 3 showed up. Only 2 actually sent a quote. One "I don't want it" price, other was reasonable. Booked it, deposit given. Didn't show up on the day. I called and left messages. He finally called back and said "my bad, out of the country on vacation and its different day here. Lost track. I'll have my crew there on xxx day." WTF? I asked for the crew names the leads phone number. He didn't want to give any of that. Canceled the job immediately and said I want my deposit back, to which he agreed. 2 weeks later, no return. So we disputed with the credit card company and it took almost 2 months to resolve. So much more to it but that's the gist.

    Good luck to you.

Well that’s Florida for you. They are stubborn when it comes to actually improving standards of building, not the architects, the builders…
:annoyed:Ask me how I know.

i mean just annoying that the separate sub that installed the data/ cat6 in each room kept screwing up and couldnt read the plans. After all said and done and many calls everything works and im happy. Dont get me wrong my house is beautiful but there are some cosmetic things that arent 100% but its just me being OCD. I feel like the builder did a very good job...Knock on wood

Just finished a hall bathroom remodel. Everything was original from 1969 but worn out…and pink!

This is actually the second house we've bought through the years that had a pink bathroom. The last one was a mixture of pink and baby blue and it was in perfect condition. People that love vintage bathrooms went nuts over it. We bought this house two years ago and it's our 14 year old son's bathroom. We promised him when we bought it we would remodel it as soon as we could, and we finally did. He's much happier now.
