Very nice job indeed! Puts our remodel to shame in terms of scope haha. Kudos to y’all!

Put my plumber hat on this weekend. Got the Hot/cold supply lines plumbed in and working. I put additional cut off valves in that will be accessible through the closet so that I dont need to move the machine to stop a flood.

Also bored the hole out for the dryer vent. The XR hammer drill I borrowed from work made quick work of it.

This weeks after work activities consist of running the 2" drain line under the house and tying in to the main stack. There's 5" of snow/ice on the ground but it needs to get done.

I really need to let my wallet cool off some before I do much anything else, got a house payment due at the end of the month. Gonna be hard to be patient for a couple weekends.

Thank you guys! Was definitely a lot of work, but I learned a ton and got to buy a bunch of cool new tools with the money saved over hiring someone. Now onto adding wetbar and remodeling the rest of the basement.

Bathroom only turned out so amazing is because of the three highly qualified supervisors I spot in the corner. A job very well done!

Any stapler experts in the house?

I am curious about this DeWalt Multitacker DWHTTR510 a guy left behind (long story, mine now). Works well, but - what kind of staples are best for tacking telephone wire and such? Takes T-50, T-25, etc

    I'm clueless.

I own an Arrow electric plug in (may take some of the same), an old manual thing I use for tacking up targets, and a DeWalt 20VMax that take different large staples.

    I'm staple illiterate!

This one will work in that multi-tacker.

    https://www.stanleytools.com/produc...-in-heavy-duty-narrow-crown-staples/stht71837

    Stanley also offers a multipack.

    https://www.stanleytools.com/produc.../2000-pc-heavyduty-staple-multipack/stht74749

Unfortunately, it appears that the Stanley cable staples won't work in that multi-tacker.

I don't think those will work in his Dewalt gun. Maybe if he has an Arrow stapler, but the Dewalt he has is made for HD staples.

I think its a Bosch 4.5" SDS+ masonry hole saw. Not cheap, hence why I borrowed it from work.

Personal preference but I always use insulated staples for any data or signal wire. But that's probably just me being paranoid. Most of them act a spacer so you don't crimp or sever the wire.

We just have the Arrow t59 at work. Most every wire stapler is proprietary unfortunately. At home I just use the nail in type like this. They come in all the different sizes and shapes. I probably should just get a t59 for home though a lot cheaper if you're doing a lot of cabling.

That coreing looks great. I rented one to core my block wall for Radon venting (with fan). It took longer to sign the tool out at the rentall than it did to cut through the wall...let alone driving there and back for it.

Nicer than a bunch of little holes and a chisel. Gotta be careful though, guy said the bit was over $500. And they gots your credit card number.

Do backyard house projects count for this thread?

Since I finally have a truck now I was able to grab the supplies needed to extend my patio and redo the absolutely awful pre-existing walking path from when I purchased the house.

3 days of paver installation and some blistered hands later and I think it came out pretty good for my first time (please excuse the dirty grill). Tried to grade it so water will run off into the surrounding landscaping but we'll see how I did next time it rains. Pretty pumped for being able to cross this off the project list, this has been a goal of mine for way too long. Having a truck is so ftw lol.

Not sure the exact pavers I used as they were leftover from another project, but threw down some Paverbase foam tiles, wrapped everything in Dimex EasyFlex edging, and topped the install with G2 Gator Maxx polymeric sand.

Looks great! I need to build a walkway from my side yard to the driveway. I might just hire out. :anonymous:
