If it makes you feel any better, I had it and it wasn't any worse than the flu. YMMV as always.

So, incase anybody here hasn't seen in other threads, I did close on the house Friday and started to move stuff in already. If you have, well, sorry, I'm just excited and am social awkward so I really only get to share with you all :anonymous:

Putting the Tacoma to work :D

Expect quite a bit of pics soon as we I'm pulling carpet, running TV cable, and cleaning out the water softener this weekend. Hardwood under the carpet, at least in the master, is immaculate. The shed is friggin' huge and has managed to house all my lawn equipment and even toolbox. Hopefully around mid February or March I'll get to closing in the carport.

Holy chit, I've done a lot already!!
Congrats. If you run Coax for TV, I fully recommend that you run data too. Cheap and easy to do at the same time.

I do eventually plan on making a couple CAT6 runs, but for being in a time crunch I'll only have the time to run coax. They installed ceiling tile in 2/3 of the basement so that's gonna be a pain in the ass to run everything and do some plumbing. Gonna eventually swap out the shower valve; it can be tricky sometimes and water hammers occasionally. Surprisingly being on a well it has really good pressure in the shower. I'm perfectly fine with that

I will never understand why people do this and I see it at least one a year on remodels.

Nah, the valve is pooched. Good excuse to go with a nice Kohler unit.

From what we can tell the floor is in great shape and won't need refinishing. Color is not to my liking, but it isn't something I'll do right away.

Once you get furniture in the room and live in it for a bit the color will probably be more acceptable. I'm not really a fan of the engineered floor in our master bedroom but after 9 years it's grown on me and I haven't felt the need to replace it. This is either because I've gotten used to it or because I'm lazy. lol

OMFG. That yellow. Thanks for taking care of that. Looks 1000x times better with the white/gray scheme.

Been doing a minor laundry room remodel (relocating the dryer vent and a few receptacles). Due to the new dryer vent location and it's proximity to the drain/vent, I was forced to make a custom box for the dryer vent stub up. I'm happy with the results for the most part.

Goal was to move the vent as far right as possible and just use a 90⁰ elbow. After I drilled and relocated the ventwork under the house, my wife decided she wanted to use one of the magnetic dryer connections.

The new magnetic ring hits the stud and makes the whole assembly a bit out of square. I didn't want to move the stub up 1/2" left and re-drill, so I said screw it. No one is ever going to know but me...

I have an awesome deal with my wife where I get to do the demo/rough-in and she gets to do the drywall/finish work. So nice to be done and watch her work now...

Back in the day all houses had hardwood floors. "Fancy" houses had "wall to wall carpet."
