Looks good so far. What's your plan/process for painting the cabinets? We've got unstained maple that we'd like to paint white one day. They sell kits and special paint to deal with the finish coat on existing cabinets.

I’ve used two different off the shelf kits and one was miles ahead of the other.
This is the one to go with:

I’d stay away from the rust oleum brand kit, as I had pretty bad results with it.

When I built new doors and drawer fronts for my kitchen I sprayed them with Sherwin Williams Urethane Trim Enamel Interior-Exterior Waterbased Satin. Sprayed well, leveled nicely and easy clean up.

Did you go with braided ones for the replacements?

I followed this method before at a buddy's house. They came out great.

For me, since I'm not a painter, was helpful to watch as well. Like any painting job, if you prep everything well, the paint will adhere and come out great.

I'd take @Bagman advice. Remove the doors and drawer faces. I would also go a step further and call a local painter. Get a quote for spraying the door and drawer faces. I have seen quite a few "bad" paint jobs from homeowners. If you want it to look it's best have a professional do them. The boxes you can paint in place. You see very little of them once the drawers and doors go back on.

    I'm a painter

Here's my suggestion for this job.

Remove and mark all doors and drawers for location
Remove and mark all hardware for location (hinges' top and bottom. Saves time after with door alignment)
Both above steps help with reassembly
Cover all areas not being worked on
Clean the surfaces with TSP to remove grease and dirt
Clean the surfaces with clean water after TSP
    Sand to dull the surface
    Clean off sanding dust
Priming is very important for adhesion. I use KILZ original primer. Bonds wells, seals out stains and easily sands very smooth. Apply two coats of primer
You can apply by hand or spray (many different ways for application method) by hand use high quality brush and microfiber roller. Both in a size your comfortable using.
Lightly sand primer and clean off sanding dust
Apply two coats of finish by hand or spray
As for finish product my choice is Benjamin Moore Ultra Scuff-X in a sheen of your choice. Easy to use, water clean up and tuff as nails.

The doors and drawer fronts always start with the back side first then flip and do the front. Allow both primer and finish to dry extra well. When flipping it helps not to leave marks and after finish coat you'll be handling things for reassembly.

Don't be in a rush. Quality takes time.

Working alone for a average size kitchen it takes me about week to complete.

I went with the stainless braided ones myself here recently...

My old hoses were about 6 years old. They looked ok from the outside, but the insides looked pretty cruddy. Figure I'd spend $45 on a new set then flood the new place.
