No. The tag on the motor reads 13.1A, 230V.

For 230 volt motors you need a 2 pole breaker, it will take up 2 full adjacent positions in your panel board.

    images.jpg

A single pole breaker is only for 120 volts and takes one position.

    HOM120.jpg

A breaker like this is called a tandem or cheater breaker, it lets you add another 120 volt circuit to a crowded panel board. Even though it has 2 handles it is not a 240 volt breaker. Use of these should be avoided if at all possible.

Doing something (even without issue) and it being correct are two different things.

Cutting tools start unloaded and are allowed to come up to speed before the load is applied.

When most air compressors restart there is an immediate load placed on the motor and the cycling of the unit over a short period of time makes the service more demanding.

One thing for sure, 10g and 30A breaker there would zero doubt. And I certainly would not go 15A slo-blo.

Yeah it’s just J channel. Not a great job done on the siding but I didn’t want to be to picky. I did complain about a few things that they came back to fix but just did a hack job fixing. After a few times back fixing it and always looking like crap I gave up and said I will fix it myself. I’ve never done siding but I know I can do a better job then they did. I’ll post some pics in a little bit. Give you guys a good laugh to start your day.

Had the house sided a few years ago. Didn’t like a few things that they tried to fix a few times finally said leave it and I fixed them myself. I still need to do the windows. Windows on one side had casing and sills the other side didn’t. They talked me into adding the casing and sills to the windows that didn’t have it so they would match and the white trim would look better.
