we've been using them more recently due to supply issues with Square D 200A 60 space panels being basically non-existent in Canada

Yeah there's nothing wrong with Tandems if you're not an idiot.

Just don't be the guy that orders a boatload of them for an older panel without realizing it doesn't accept them. You can run into that issue with Murray/Siemens stuff.

Well in this case I wish it would have been a big solid something as new information and investigation leads this incident to be per-meditated and intentional... Gonna leave it at that for now...

I'll bet the inside of that panel is just as neat and tidy as any other job you do.
You always do nice work.:thumbsup:

Heh. I actually hired this one out. Was fortunate enough a local TW member is a licensed master electrician. The inside is very, very tidy! :D

Is there a specific insulation that should be used for exterior walls in a bathroom? Particularly that will be in a tile shower? 1959 construction with 2x4 walls. Cheers.

Mineral wool batts, then put a vapor barrier over it all.

Had this 24kW GENERAC Guardian installed a few months ago that powers our entire house with no restrictions. We contemplated this purchase for a few years and finally pulled the trigger back in the fall but it took several months to get it and have it installed.

A lot more than I would like to admit…lol. I’m out of town and don’t have the invoice in front of me but it was around $13K installed, plumbed, permits, platform/landscaping, automatic switch, etc. That side of our house has a bit of an incline so they had to build up and level a foundation for it. That part of the job was a lot more extensive than I expected but it had to be done. I forget how many yards of gravel the landscape company hauled in for the foundation but it was a LOT more than I ever expected. It took two guys two days for that portion alone. We got quotes from three companies and actually tried to get more but companies wouldn’t respond…incredible.

It hurts too much to type it twice…lol. See post above. Quotes ranged from $12K to $16K all in.

MY apologies I was on my phone and didn't realize you had answered on the next page (duh)

Thanks for the details, gives me the ball parkish figure - for once I actually have a fairly level spot - so I can figure it out.

I know what you mean about quotes!
