    THE BATHROOM IS DONE!

Now I get a weekend off this weekend...then I'm ripping up 1,300 sq ft of carpet in my house and replacing it with "hardwood" laminate floors the weekend of the 10th.

    Here is the finished product.

Great work! I originally planned to do the hardwoods in my house myself but I was talked out of it...I will be very interested to hear and see how your next projects goes.

I looked a little harder at your vanities and I'm wondering where you are going to store all of your toiletries and such?

I've done flooring before so it won't be that difficult. I've learned a lot of the tricks the hard way haha. Plus I'm doing a floating floor since I'm on a concrete slab so it will be easier.

The cabinets are 12" deep so there is a decent amount of storage under there. Plus she has a closet right outside the bathroom to store stuff in too.

Lack of counter space isnt necessarily a bad thing...forces her to put her stuff away lol

I agree, more storage space = collect more junk

lol the good thing is she is a neat freak and puts everything away anyways. She doesn't leave her stuff all over the counter. We're both very alike in terms of organization and cleanliness...Anal retentive haha. She also shares the philosophy of "If I haven't used it in the last year, it's probably time to throw it away or give it away". Except for clothes, She's still working on that.

Picked up the floors today that we're putting down next weekend.

1300 sq ft of "hardwood" laminate. The flooring ended up being on sale today for $300 cheaper than what I budgeted so I'll take that woohoo.

It's a single strip dark "oak" with chamfered/v-groove edges to resemble individual boards and not have that typical laminate look. Each plank is almost 8" wide so it will go down fast.

The taco and the trailer were both squatting pretty good. It was about 2,200 lbs worth of materials.

the workshop is the building in the middle 26'x36'...the main house also has a 22'x26' attached 2-car garage (basicially the wife's garage :D )...and that is a guest cottage on the right (for mother-in-law)

Small project of concrete pavers that I did over this weekend. Nothing special but easier to get the welder out now instead of the crushed rock that I had before.

anyone ever heard of an Australian closet? I've googled it and came across mixed answers...was looking at potential houses to buy online (out of my area) and came across one that said it had an australian closet set up in the master suite but didn't have pictures of it.
