Appreciate the advise. I decided to do it all the way since I got this far. Yeah, I unhooked it and took it outside and hosed it all out and cleaned it up.

Finally wrapped up my Belco Door project yesterday. Started on this damn project last fall but winter showed up with a vengeance and was here to stay. Replaced the Belco's with a product out of Rhode Island called the Clamshell. I believe they primarily build sailboats. Other than the steps, which are LVL stringers and pine treads, and the framing for the bulkhead, all the material is wrapped and finished in Azak with OSI Quadmax exterior caulking. The door is fiberglass. It's a sweet little unit. Few more detail things to do and then I'm done. (I'll probably get around to those sometime in 2027 lol) Now I'm weatherproof!

Badass, looks great. We had a Bilco at our first house and it sucked, I guess they fit the need at the time.

The 6" gutters look so much bigger. Took the crew 3.5 hours including lunch.

We currently have the builder installed 5 inch gutters and they over flow every heavy rain…

For me trying to head off the idiot "experts" trolls that have never done a thing in their life is more work than it's worth. I give them bonus points when what they say is completely wrong. As for me, been there, done that, got the broken strap and burn out marks on my grass. :burnrubber::rofl:

Here's my project - finish the basement. I under estimated the amount of wood needed, so this is the first half of the project.
    wood.jpg

And this is the first wall. When future me finds the problem with the workmanship he's going to yell at past me to pay attention! (Plumb is a thing, my work here, well not so much. But's thats why I have a sawzall. Cut the nails and use the freaking level that's sitting right there on the ground.)

Man I'd love to finish my basement and add a bathroom down there. Unfortunately the septic is too high and I don't want an ejector/grinder pump so I'll have to wait to when I replace it and have them dig it lower.

5 was what i was told too.

But also depends on roof pitch, size, number of down spouts, down spout sizes, ect.

My house has the same problem. When they installed the sewer in the street they put it too high for the basement bathroom. So my basement has an ejector/grinder pump and the upstairs has a traditional drainage system.

Here are pictures, because who doesn't like pictures?

Of course the rough in from the builder was in the wrong place. I don't think I could have jackhammered the drain any more squarely if I had tried. lol
    dead center.jpg

Along with the drain being in the wrong place the floor is more of a concrete terrain park.
    before self leveler.jpg

Four bags of Self Leveling Concrete and the next step is setting the drain pan.

So according to the gutter guys, standard is 5" but most everyone is going to 6". So the moral of the story is get 6" from the get go.
