You're the expert. I won't question your opinion.

Crazy that they've exceeded their goal by 350%.

I need more tool storage , the Veto Pro Pac bags are awesome but they are kinda designed to store individual smaller tools whereas this type of box and get bulk loaded

    vertical tool storage FTW.
I have more tools in my tech xl than he fit in the coolbox, and I don't have to unload half of it to get to the tool I need.

I've seen bits and pieces about it around the internet. Definitely would come in handy as a portable box. Interested to see how long the internal battery lasts.

The box seems like it would be awesome for truck tools on wheeling trips and camping.

I'd be interested in the original price but not for whatever they're charging now.

So , I've gotten sidetracked with a client job over the last week but made some progress

The landing newel is glued up , 1/2 newel at the top is installed , I got the curved wall cap glued down and milled a matching fir and black walnut wall cap for the straight section of stairs

The handrail bit I've been waiting 10 days to show up from Freud finally arrived today so I milled the 2 straight rails and one of the curved rails

A near disaster during the milling of the curved rail prompted me to wait till tomorrow after my morning coffee to mill the final curved handrail

Pretty happy with the profile and results from a piece of timber I seriously considered turning into firewood on more than a couple occasions

The handrail bit I'm using is this one

    http://www.freudtools.com/index.php/products/product/99-442

So the router base registers against the bottom of the handrail blank , I'm running that bit in my 3HP Porter Cable plunge router , and using a 1/4" radius round over for the top , running it in my DeWalt laminate trimmer

After running the handrail bit passes , I flipped the blank over and ran the round over passes with the lam trimmer . I then was hand sanding the profile to fair out a bit of chatter . I felt a raised place in the handrail where the handrail profile bit was obviously not tight against the side of the blank when I ran the first passes , so rather than spend hours bringing it down with sandpaper I grabbed the router and was about to true up the profile by running the router over that section and was literally a second away from powering it up when I had a peek underneath to make sure the bit was aligned with the previous run and realized I was about to totally fuck the whole railing because I was about to run the bit with it registered on the top of the handrail instead of the bottom

I was like " wow , OK , hand sand for a bit and that's good for today " , lol , that would have pissed me off so bad

Worst part is I've now glued the wall cap down to what was my glue up jig so I would have been really screwed

Got my second curved handrail milled this morning without any major drama allowing me to finally abandon the forming jig , which I cut off today leaving the finished wall cap in place

I laminated one of the helical side trims , I'll glue up the other side tomorrow and start on fitting the straight handrail

My concern is not growing the height much more than it is now
