- 3/4 S4S red oak
- 3/4 S4S poplar
- 8/4 mild figure maple

Rails and stiles are 3/4" VG Fir and black walnut panels

All the VG Fir with the exception of the 11" tall bottom rail is made from some left over 1x4 and 1x6 T&G flooring I remilled , you can kinda see the bottom grooves from the flooring profile inside the newel box in the first pic you quoted

Been working on this for a bit too long. Finally coming together. Everything is getting ⅜" pea gravel cover. Including the 4" gaps between the paver steps.

 

Almost done.

 

Tell her the upside: she can cancel her gym membership and save beaucoup bucks.

I have a woodshop you can sleep in. Possibly there is some R19 insulation remnants laying around, I heard it's nice and comfy to sleep in.
