Saw a post a while back asking about a reference for a person to do it. May shop around that way too, Pee.

Thanks Ding. This concrete was poured in 1978, and I'll only own it for 5 years or so (hopefully). Maybe I'll wait until next year for the floor coating when the woman is working again and do it correctly. Paying someone is definitely not feasible at the moment.

Liberal amounts of concrete degreaser soaking in and scrubbing it well will buy you more longevity of the finish.

... of course letting fully dry before painting helps too. ;)

Thanks. I didn't mean literally only pressure washing.. ;)

I just do not plan on doing the surface grinding I've heard many mention doing. I've seen some prices tossed around in one of the AZ regional threads where it was done professionally, from start (surface prep) to finish (painted) for like $1.47/sq. ft. That would be awesome if it only costs that much, but not research that side of the job.

Tile is laid, once the thinset dries, it'll be grout time!

It's the normal, neglected and abused garage you'd expect. Paint spills from who knows when, not sure if there are many oil spots.

Sounds like it's more involved than I'm thinking it is. :anonymous:

Ha ha Cole (the orange cat from the earlier pic) has already ran in there twice. But now I've got a sheet of plywood over the entryway.

Pretty sure we have one of them locally, about 5 minutes from the house. When the time is right, I'll check with them. Thanks again, sir.

No connection to age, only to level of respect.

Did some recon this morning before work.

Looks like my existing is actually going out a soffett but is not actually attached to it.. So really just dumping into the attic. So now I am thinking rerunning the existing and installing the new out my gable end 20ft away. Only issue is it the new one is on the really skinny side of the attic.

So best bet run 2 separate ducts out two caps?

Yes , keep the venting seperate from each other and insulate it .

Is there any signs of black mildew on the underside of your roof sheathing ?

Yes , there is a reduction but not really much of a choice either

If possible , try to run the ducting straight for at least 3' before introducing an elbow , that helps reduce the noise level inside the bathroom

also if you need to run a 90 degree bend , if you can run it with 2 elbows so it's more of a 45 / 45 , keeping the run as straight as possible helps
