I'm building a built-in style cabinet to house our tv and components into what was going to be a closet when we originally framed the house

I built a deep box for the components at the base , with a shallow 11" deep box that will house the tv on an articulating wall mount

Built the doors from some scrap VG Fir sticks I had laying around Norm Abrams style with a 1/4" dado head on the tablesaw .

The doors will get reeded glass

There's a 2" hole in the top of the base cabinet that allows the base cabinet to share the volume of air that's behind the tv box , it will also be used to run the cables behind the tv . Beyond that I'm not worried about it overheating in there

A pocket hole jig would be perfect for some of the stuff you've been doing. Looks great.
When the f do you sleep or do work though

Need to replace my bathroom exhaust fan. Recommendations for one under $100 that is quiet but also has good outflow? Current one sounds like it's about to go out and extremely loud even when we first moved in.

my original one sounded like a helicopter. so i replaced it but used the mounting bracket that existed from the original one. that one was loud too. last spring when i remodeled my bathroom i bought a new one and mounted it in a different location and before i had the duct work hooked up you couldn't even tell that it was on. completely silent. now i have the cheap foil flex hose hooked up to it and you can hear it because of the wind resistance. I have a few sections of rigid pipe that i will be replacing the shitty hose with, but I'm waiting till it gets cooler before spending more time in the attic.

the new one is a hampton bay from home depot. just tried to find it on the site and a few look alike, and i don't remember the cfm rating. most have horrible reviews but I'm happy with mine.

Another consideration. At my old house I went through the same. Got a very nice quiet Broan. But also consider this: it's a fart fan. Depending on it's proximity to other areas and potential need for privacy, a little noise can be a good thing, IYKWIM.

oh and the reason i came in here.. I wanted to see if anyone else is using that Trufuel stuff instead of pre mix for small engines?

I have a stihl ms 250 chainsaw, a stihl blower, a redmax blower, and echo string trimmer, and i've always had problems with them. I just switched to trufuel and so far I'm really impressed. I always use premium gas, brand specific oil and the correct mixture. I just don't use them enough to use up the gas, and then it sits for a while and i guess it goes bad (ethanol b/s).

the blowers always needed to be run at half choke, but so far i've run a tank through each and can run them with out choke for the first time since they were new.

I might try to run some carb cleaner or something through them too, but so far i think I'm much happier spending $6 for a 32oz bottle that doesn't go bad, instead of $6 for a full gas can of pre mix that according to user manuals "should be used with in a month". If i have a big job where i'll need a lot of gas i'll still run some pre mix, but i'll atleast run trufuel though it before putting it away.

If it's possible to upgrade to 6" venting and a 6" ducted fan , you will greatly decrease noise levels at the same CFM

It's hard maple more than likely and butcher block is endgrain and a shuffle board is showing side or face, been awhile since I looked at one. Yes you can use if for a cutting board but I wouldnt. Face and side grain are more suited to serving/cheese boards.

And wood over plastic. Wood is naturally anti bacterial and better on nicer knives.
