    My philosophy is that anything within view when you are taking a dump should be perfect. So should everything else, but especially that. Same goes for the view from your favorite comfy chair.

    Hey @OZ-T
    I have the same marble all over my bathroom and in my showerstall, your work looks amazing. What are you planning on using to clean the marble without harming it?

    Nice cope. It's nice that you can get away with that with marble... fairly soft to work with :thumbsup:

    I'm in the process of skim coating walls for a future nursery in our house. Removed two layers of wallpaper and nicked the hell out of the drywall - lots of patching and leveling. Skim coating is the bane of my existence; I want it perfectly level, but after three coats of skimming mud, I quickly reach the "good enough" phase and leave it be. Only I will see the minor lines and imperfections, but they will be there non the less and drive me nuts!

    Its one of those things I am trying to deal with....I could spend months getting each upgrade perfectly right in all aspects and facets, but there are always things I could have spent a little more time on and done perfectly. I go to other peoples completely new homes and see way worse quality all over the place, but I still feel like I am settling on my own work.

    This shit is getting old real quick lol - burnt out from 2 years of constant upgrades and remodels on our fixer-upper.

    OZ-T, I definitely can appreciate all the finesse and detail work you document and put in. It is always much easier to skip it and say "good enough", but I have a feeling that for you, it wouldn't be good enough.

    I agree with you about removing wallpaper and skim coating. A friend asked me to help with that and I 'convinced' him to just remove the drywall and start anew. Idk if it's less work but it seems like it.

    Today's progress

    What can't be seen;
    Added a switch and changed to the rocker types. Ran a new electrical wire

    Ran exhaust duct. Mounted hood on gabble end.

    Won't be able to progress until next Friday but feeling good about two days of work.

    Oh and we raised the shower head 6 inches for me!

    Looks gpod

    Pitch the vent pipe down hill towards your vent and insulate it

    I've been working at Home Depot for a while and I've never seen a contractor with one of these in his cart, but general advice is that you change the wax ring anytime the toilet is removed.

    My buddy uses these on all the toilets he puts in. He is just a general contractor and doesn't install any where near as many toilets as a professional plumber would but he swears by them. I've installed one myself and no problems what so ever.

    I would replace it through. You can use a new traditional wax ring or get another of what's already there.
