@OZ-T what are you doing for an access panel to the plumbing? I'm working on a similar tub surround at the moment.

Nice oz, Schluter solves so many tiling issues.
Did something like that for a gas valve for a fireplace and I'm pretty sure it's one of those things that if they sell the house no one will ever find.

Nice, that's similar to what I plan, are you going to color match caulk the grout lines or leave them open?

I'm using the colour matched caulking for all of my change of plane joints and will use it around this access panel as well

The house wasn't built with a cleanout for the kitchen sink line. The line is now clogged with years of grease buildup so I'm having them install a cleanout then hydrojet the line.

So I am going to be replacing some knot and tube. Most of it is only ran in the attic which will be easy to change for romex. But somehow there is some all the way to the food storage room in the basement. What would be the best way to fish new wire in there?

Most of the rest of the house is anew remodel, see pics:

Sounds like theres a reason that wire is still there... It can be done though. is the room in the basement finished or do you have access to the subfloor above? I recently had to go attic to crawl space so I found the same wall cavity, drilled top and bottom, got lucky while fishing and finding the bottom hole, then ran the wire down. They also make a fish with a bit on the end I think if you don't have access to the bottom.

Sorry knob and tube. I'm fairly decent with electrical but that's my concern is how to route it, I think I might have to cut some walls. Now that I think about it there is a subpanel in the basement close to the cellar

Helped pop's hang some LED bottle lanterns in my sisters room today! Getting them layed out right and at the correct length was a process with my dad, as you can imagine! :D
