No regulations on burning wood that I've ever heard of. I do have good access to "free" wood, but I don't have much of a place to store it. I plan to use the fireplace as auxiliary heat and not primary.

@robssol how is the maintenance on the pellet stoves? Can't some of those be over complicated? I have no experience with those like I do with wood and DV gas.

I take the pipe down once a year and run a sweep through it. The annual cleaning can get a little involved with some disassembly. The stove gets ashes emptied and the inside brushed down once per ton. They make a gel for starting (junk) I use a propane torch:thumbsup: Electric ignition is also a option, not worth the money IMO. Quality of pellets is also a factor, I bought a off brand last winter I ended up taking back (nothing like tripling your work outside in the winter:mad:) And you have to store pellets as well. They are cleaner than wood to store in the house. My stove has a fan that draws fresh air from outside for combustion, a feed auger that runs intermittent depending on heat setting, and a circulating fan that runs if the stove temp reaches a certain level. We have a Harman P43. Hope this helps.

Took down the TV and mount, took down all curtains (left the blinds), patched/painted the holes, cleared out the attic, and started cleaning up the garage. 3 more weeks and this house belongs to someone else. Hopefully the buyer's initial inspection goes well tomorrow.

Might check the fine print of the contract, when we sold our house I had to put all the curtains back up because it said all window dressings or something like that. Also had to leave the TV mounts and shelving mounted in the garage as well.

tv mount wasn't listed. curtains were (generic contract), however, real estate agent told me i was fine. If they really want my broken garage shelving, more power to them lol.

Beautiful cutting boards. I'd be afraid to cut anything on them for fear of doing any damage! LOL.

I've got a few professional chefs using them, you have to try to damage these.

Any ideas of what to cover my exposed insulation in the ceiling of my basement? Eventually we will finish the basement with drywall, but for now i would like to put something on the ceiling to cover the insulation bats so dust and particles dont make it through and fall onto the basement ground and things we have down there.

I have heard plastic sheeting but wouldnt that be bad as it might keep any moisture in there?

Getting back to my master bath remod after getting distracted on other projects... Had the new window in temporarily but spent last weekend getting it installed permanently, along with some somewhat temporary siding (re-siding the house is in the far future).

I wouldn't have used the words home improvement, I would have said for safety. But I guess keeping your house from burning down is an improvement :D
