Just a little one today, but was way more work than I anticipated!

Dug out old plants, removed about 15 cubic feet of old dirt/clay, changed out sprinklers, pop's welded up a new trellis, put in a drain clean out pedestal, 15 cubic feet of new soil and some new star jasmine! Phew, I'm tired! :)

Does guinea pig home improvement count? My 8 year old daughter wanted a change for her 2 pig's sleeping quarters. So we replaced their 2 plastic "pigloos" with a 2 room condo. It was really just some daddy/daughter time for Father's Day...and we both enjoyed the time spent together.

    Scarlet and Phoebe's new hide-away.

that cage have a lid? not sure how guinea pigs are at climbing, but that looks like a great escape point via the roof of new sleeping area.

Well after what seems like forever i finally got to go back to work on the shed! Stupid rain, overtime, time with the gf (ok that isnt that bad), and other commitments kept me from it. But got half the gable ends up. I need an extra hand for the other half. But started putting plywood up for the side of the roof with gable ends. No pictures of the progress though. But its a roof so google it if you want to see lol

I have a feeling Ill get my butt in gear to finish this up and then a couple projects on the truck. All cause I picked this up Saturday and promised myself I wont start on it till Im caught up on the shed and truck :(

There couldn't possibly be a more gravity-bound creature than a guinea pig. :D

They're quite tame and trained very well. They only exit the cage when the door is open. Clever little shits. Jumping out is not even a thought or an option for them.

Ain't that the truth. They squeal when the fridge is opened because they know that's where my daughter keeps the carrots, kale and cucumbers.

    Bathroom project..ugh.

Plywood is down. My contractor used self leveling underlayment ona corner that was out of whack (about 4 ft square, old house).

What next before tiling? I believe I need cement backer, but how to attach it?

The guy also went right up to the toilet with the stuff..is this a problem?

Depending on the floor deflection I would use Schluter Ditra instead of hardi backer on the floor

As in how much the floor sags or deflects under load

OK gotcha. The plywood wasn't moving under it but it is right where the doorway is, which would be better?

Ditra. And it's installed in the same Manor as hardbacker. Thinset (unmodified for Ditra) then your Ditra. Then thinset then tile.

The jackass basically coated the floor, didn't level it right. I still have a slope on it, WTF. Plus he went right up against the toilet.
