We are having a party for my wife and I turning 40 within a month. We are expecting 35 guests and the forecast is calling for an inch of rain on saturday.
So I improvised this.



Nothing complicated except that I could not drill holes in the masonry, so everything is pressed in place. Wife loves it!

 

I got the sheet at a supplier in our area, Harvey Building Supply. The seams are bent over the sides with solder covering the lap and the opposite side to look even.

I was going to do a standing seam hip, but I didn't have access to a concave seam shrink tool at the time.

 

Amazon Prime day.

LOTS of Bosch power tools, not sure how prices compare to elsewhere.
A few random checks show the same as HD or maybe $10 less.

Does anyone have the Bosch under-table base for the under-table mount for the Bosch 1617/18 Router?
I have the 1617EVSPK kit.

The only Bosch tools I own are my hammer drill and a laser plumb bob

 

Mikita routers, I don't run any Bosch stuff. So no clue

 

Only Bosch I have are 2 jig saws and a sawzall.

Next router I buy is going to be the 3.5hp Milwaukee one so I can do raised panels and doors with it.

 

Raised panel bit in a hand held router is why I bought a shaper.

 

I love my 3HP Porter Cable plunge router

 

Did you use an iron to solder with or a torch? Torches and whatnot I have oodles of, buying an iron for one project seems a bit excessive. Did you use felt or Grace under it? Would be worried about burning it using a torch, even a low flame.

 

I don't do enough cabinet work anymore to warrant having a shaper again. I'll do the cabinets for both houses then be done with it until my next own project comes up.

 

Get a router table ^

 

That's what I was talking about when I get that router. Smart enough to know not to try that handheld.

 

Gotta use a torch, with flux. I used bar solder because you'll go through miles of spooled solder. I didn't use blueskin or anything under the copper. Luan sheet with the grain going horizontal helps with the pagoda roof bend.

Not today, started on June 4th. Not necessarily a home improvement, but we need a "external" garage to get the home improvements done.

 

More after install... All have LED lighting set up on timers.

 

I had to run a 2" vertical handrail bit on my helical handrail freehand haha

I built a lift into unisaw extension I have. It was ok. Tried the raised panel bits in it. Turned it off. Bought the shaper. The setup you posted is nice and could probably travel somewhat. But at that price if it was going in the shop and not onsite I'd buy a used shaper.

Just ordered this. It uses the diablo steel demon cermet blade. I have a bunch of stainless to cut for this last lab.
