My microwave vents out to a roof vent. Thought that was the only way to do it. Otherwise where does the microwave vent to? Back into the room?

 

Never said you did...there are a lot of fly by night carpenters out there though. Just trying to let the guy know, he could be opening a can of worms. Ask me how I know

 

Mine does currently anything built before 1990 in your average American neighborhood does.

When you buy a new microwave hood you need to flip it some times. Otherwise it works internally or externally. It's like two screws and flipping the moter housing.

 

My bathroom fan vents right into the blown in too, I'm a bit behind on making that right

I actually bought over priced vent that mounted to upper side of my soffit for that.

I was a sub contractor for Home Depot doing kitchen cabinet installs. Man!... can I tell you some horror stories. As a matter of fact I kept the corner in my kitchen wall back like 3 sixteenth to allow for a spackeled corner.

 

I ment to take care of it when I did my roof but just didn't get to it due to having to get the truck ready for a new frame. I hate attics.

 

Yup...it's a code here to have a access to the attic...I don't ....I will get around to it...already have the provisions....and bee spray..lol

 

I had my roofer come back and change my ensuite exhaust fan to a roof vent , it used to run down the 14/12 rafters and exit the soffit but it would condensate like crazy in winter

 

Wait!....you have a14/12 pitch? That's insane!

 

Yeah the main roof pitch is 14/12
