I had a problem like his occurring....when I looked underneath my kitchen...someone had cut the plumbing out ...taking a third of the floor joists out with it. So the floor was flexing, hence cracking the grout. Easy fix I just sistered the bad joists. In that house, I did have access through a drop ceiling in the basement.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.

I recirculated mine instead of venting it. 90% of the time it works just fine but there are definitely times when I wish we had a true vent. My setup was more difficult than yours to put one in. If I were you I would do it.

Sold our house in Philly and moved to AZ in November. While in Philly completely flipped house and redid bath, kitchen, finished the basement, etc. Renting in AZ for now and the tools were starting to feel neglected. Started a project to build rustic living room set the wife wanted. Picked up the wood yesterday and happy to have had no problems at all fitting the 8 footers in my DCSB using my bed extender. I finished the coffee table yesterday. Two end tables and tv stand to follow...

Had a design change over the weekend that impacted a shear wall and it's seismic hold down layout , got that sorted , finished up the interior bearing foundation walls plus started drilling the holes for the rebar embedment today

215 holes @ 1" diameter x 20" deep into the bedrock , hopefully have the drilling completed in the morning

Its just been chucking down rain all day today

Currently I'm redoing windows on this house, Anderson windows, a majority of the wood trim is vynal clad and it failed, Anderson didn't even come look the cut a check and shipped new painted trim. Really impressed when a company actually covers their product with out a fight. And this isn't one window it's a 9k sqft house filled with windows

Started my living room redo last night. Removed green tile from floor doing airstone or something similar where green tile is now once it is removed. Hopefully spending a few hours a night I'll have it done by the weekend. Then starting hardwood floors.

My last project was a t&m job for a major Chem company labs. Told to one guy I'd move a wall around until they stopped paying, but as long as the change made the area more useful or to make room for equipment it didn't bother me a bit

Yeah...I am sure you made a little extra for changes...when you do this type of work, every customer is a architect.

Yeah the change doesn't bother me too much but the owner/designer wants to make his kitchen window 2' longer ( wider ) and sent me an updated window schedule for that wall and I was like "uh thats a shear wall you just eliminated 2' from" , the PEng had to redo a few things but with a few modifications it still can work , I was mostly worried that I might need to order 2 more of those big 1" redi rod embed bolts that had to come out of California

Not really extra as we had no change orders and tgey had a designer in house that we worked closely with, most changes were due to equipment and or the lab stewards, I'm not a fan of wasting money on any project especially when we could stretch it to upgrade other aspects

Can you stretch the layout toward the end?...a little bit wider spacing?....just wondering or is it a code violation?

Is it the foundation that he is moving, or the framing?
