Cool. I only poly....things I build and hate

 

Whole house (expect kitchen & bath) is all one continuous hardwood floor.

 

That is great....I am not a hardwood installer, but when I laid my floor that's the look I wanted. It so hard to, not only do it, but make it look good. I only have two splines and they are in closets. The fact you have that already is a good start.

 

I paint all my closets ceiling white....am I the only one?

 

Nope...I used flat ceiling paint as well. Walls are pure white in eggshell.

 

Lol...I got ya....my feeling is you never know what the room color will be...but the closet which is the worse to paint won't need to be repainted.

 

Another room I redid last year - stripped wallpaper, primed & painted. Also did closet in white.

 

God, I hate wallpaper!...death to wallpaper!....I actually own a steamer for it now, but I have been erasing it from existence. I hate chrome more, I think.

 

I cursed every piece I removed!

 

Wallpaper is the worst. When my in laws decided to move closer to us 5 years ago , the realtor took one look at all the 30 year old paper in their house and told them she would not list the house until it was all gone. And so began a 5 week endeavor to remove it all. Horrible...to say the least

But I hear it's actually making a bit of a come back. Not on my walls though

 

You can get nice wallpaper lol

 

It is making a comeback?....hopefully in a third world country, that hates things being straightforward.

 

High end wall paper is a whole other world.

And properly applied wallpaper comes right off normally

 

I have done remodels where there is five layers of wallpaper....had to do the sponge test.
