    Thanks for the future tip.
I tried to lay out the sub-floor and hardy backer the most effective way possible to limit seam alignment and material use. No seams match up between the sub-floor and hardy backer, closest seam between layers is 6". Also, the hardy backer joints were all taped and coated with thinset creating a homogeneous tile laying surface, this is supposed to be equal to laying 2" of thinset prior to laying tile (in my understanding of the product claims). I could have made a change and had more cuts in the materials so that there were less seam alignments but I thought having larger pieces would be better and less likely to fail :notsure:... I guess we will see.

Got it vented to the outside. Wasn't to bad. Roof has to get replaced in a year or so anyway.

My solution to ventilation without opening the big door was to install a vent fan above it. I have 2 man doors inside the garage that lead to outside; one goes to the side yard, which is fenced, and the other into a screen porch. So I can turn the fan on and open one of the doors to get a good air flow. My to do list includes putting metal security screens on them so I can leave them open if I want.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
I'd recommend taking a look at the rigid boxes. I compared them to the Dewalt storage boxes at Home Depot and the were far better IMHO.

Is there a wall system of those or are they just stackable.

I don't know about the Ridgid boxes but I liked that 4 Dewalt boxes fit perfectly between the wheel wells in the back of my truck

Yes! Perfect for nuts, bolts, screws, etc. When you open one of the drawers and take a big whiff it's instant flashback to the school library. It's got that smell you may have forgotten because it's been so long, but it wallops you upside the head with memories when you do smell it again. These things are not easy to find, and when you do they ask crazy money. I got this big one for a steal.

The GF is an English Prof (and literary nerd). When we first started dating and saw it she freaked out. Loved it. Wanted to bring it inside to use to store stuff. Nope. But for her birthday I found a 6 drawer version. She has it in her school office and stores tea, candy, etc in it. Scored major points for that.

Both the rigid and dewalt boxes are great. I went with rigids system early as dewalt only had a dolly at the time. There are things I like from both systems. But overall I like ridgids better, if they don't release more options I will how ever switch to dewalts because they have some better boxes. It's a bit annoying I'm using Milwaukee organizers ridgid boxes, and a mix of dewalt and festool. I spent last year trying to improve my tool storage and transport and it's made things do much nicer.

Yes, dewalt with the auto feed. It's the hang and mud box, the festool drywall sander is a lot more stuff.
