We would make " pea shooters" basically a improvised slide hammer for nails..still limited in certain areas. Although I still keep one in my truck.

We used to cut the claw off a framing hammer , been using palm nailers for formwork for about 15 years now though

When you are up in the attic, note the number and opening measurements of any vents you find.

Also check the insulation to see if it has a vapor barrier and if so which way it is facing.

Also check to see if you have soffit vents and if there is any insulation blocking them.

I have a question about the smoke/CO detectors. If smoke rises and CO sinks and you mount the detector high for smoke won't it be to late for you by the time the CO reaches the detector?:notsure:

There are not many differences between the Nest / Ecobee and any other Wifi thermostat. They might offer a few more features and be a bit more stylish but there is not a huge difference. If I already had Wifi thermostats I probably wouldn't spend the money to upgrade unless these didn't interface with my home automation system but most of them do.

WOW! You're going to have to get some venting put in, or a dehumidifier. It is defiantly condensation from overnight temperature differentials between your home and outside. Thanks for the pictures.

Is the window cool to the touch (in the dry spots) in the morning?

Yes, not cold either. In line with interior temps, so it feels the same as my dresser does.

Just windows, like that goes. Minor film occasionally on my phone screen which stays on the nightstand next to my side of the bed.

Figuring in gas, wood for fireplace and swamp cooler electricity, our bill doesn't go over $50.
