Gotta finish some interior sheeting , cleats , wailers , bulkheads , put on the wedges , cant strip on the exterior , install the cast in styrofoam edging around the whole exterior perimeter wall and build 7 columns

 

Yeah, that's a lot with two man crew...but...it's the way you eat a elephant.

Thanks. A shit ton of work for not many more square feet. But they are willing to pay for what they want, so all good. The extra three car garage is needed for his parents cars when they move in with him. And his new(and second) Lambo

 

Yeah I was thinking.....10,000 square foot isn't big enough, .....Honey,let's put an addition on!

 

I made one bracket tonight to hold a maple sap tank in the barn. It's a 75 gallon stainless tank so alone it's heavy but add some sap and it's some pretty serious weight. There will be 3 total. I may tie the ends into the ceiling joists with some boards once the tank is up. The brackets should be enough for the tank alone, but when it's being used for sap I'll use some deadman studs to the floor just for safety. I haven't really made anything like this before. I used rough sawn 2x6 pine, morticed the joints, screwed with GRK fasteners and pounded in some nails for good measure. I will anchor to the 4x4 studs with 6 inches GRK screws and possibly add some metal strapping on the tops as well.

 

And you even made the workmen bring their own potty!

Got some siding up and brackets installed. Should suffice for the empty tank but will use temporary dead men when it's in use to hold the maple sap.

 

Got both shelters up today.....tin should go on next weekend.....then it's time to focus on painting outside and getting electric done on inside

 

Finally got all my bulbs in the house changed out to LED.
