    Squared and chalked wall layout lines and started laying down sill plates to begin framing

    We first put down a sill gasket . On top of that we installed an 18" strip of Typar housewrap which when taped to the under slab vapour / air barrier and wrapped up and taped to the exterior wall housewrap will create a continuous air barrier down the exterior of the framing , under the slab and back up the exterior of the parallel wall on the other side of the house .

    Prior to laying the plates in we ran a bead of acoustical sealant around the base of the bolts to seal any air leakage through the housewrap where the bolts penetrate it and finally installed the nuts and washers fixing the plates down permanently

    Plates are all down , got our framing package delivered today , we start framing tomorrow

    I'm not suggesting its a problem just asking because we had to use a stainless breach pipe when we built ours but then we also had to use block and put rebar and concrete in all the block cores too the whole way up
