    Yup, good idea.

I've owned 4 different houses, and in each one, I've changed every outlet and switch.

On the first one I was just replacing one outlet, and found it had bad connections. Since then, I guess I'm a little anal about them.

I spent most of the weekend in the crawl space rerouting circuit wiring and replacing a junction box that was the incorrect type and incorrectly installed, and which had shorted half the circuit. Fun times. At least it was easy to find, and it did not involve drywall or some terrifying hidden illegal mystery connection.

Installed a new kitchen sink and faucet last night. Got rid of the cheapie flimsy 6" deep builder grade sink and installed a 9" deep 18 guage sink. The faucet is a peerless pull down.

    Here's the old crappy one:

    That looks great.

FWIW, take some 4" to 6" adhesive window wrap and wrap whole sink underneath. That will take the "ping/ring" out of it and make it almost sound like a cast iron sink.

If ur already using the wrong roofing material, might as well wing it from there. I would lag bolt in and silicone/tar type seal the lags, same way you lag bolt a satellite dish to a roof

Was off work today, so I cleaned my room. It needed it! I think this constitutes as home improvement. :D

No, that's after. It's probably cluttered by most people's standards, but when you're fitting almost 20 years worth of your life into a kitchen cupboard, things get a little disorganized. :D

    Why??? :anonymous:
It IS clean- no shoes on the bed or books strewn about! And all the knives are on my desk so I don't wake up having stabbed myself in my sleep by a knife hidden in my folds of blankets! xD

About to move into our new (used) home in a few weeks and first thing up is painting the interior. The good thing is that it's an almost fresh paint job inside, bad thing is that it's all white. Definitely in need of some color and character. Any paint brand suggestions? I was likely to go with Sherwin Williams. Originally, it was Behr but I've got some mixed reviews with quality. I definitely want to do this right the first time and not waste time putting down 2-3 coats so I'm down with paying premium for quality!
