You said chicken coup, I assume you have chickens you're trying to protect. In our area we have weasels and fishers that can go right through most livestock fencing as the holes are to large to stop them. We are using 1/4" mesh sandwiched in 1x3 trim boards.

We don't have any predators small enough to go through the wire, but my German Shepherd has ripped the wire and staples out on the old coup trying to get to the scraps I gave to the chickens instead of her!

We have an old, I mean old, Shetland sheepdog that comes in coup from run door when we collect eggs. She gets the thin shelled ones. We give them to her. She won't take until we leave coup holding out for more.

Floors are going in. So far they've got the dining room and kitchen done, about 1500 sq feet or so to go. 4" red oak, #2 common/rustic grade. Loving the knots and character.

Took longer than I thought to finish up the slab prep but we're done our part

2 1/2" XPS styro down and all seams taped and penetrations / voids spray foamed , 6 mil vapour / air barrier down with all seams and penetrations taped with exterior edge of vapour barrier taped to the housewrap we installed under the sill plates for a continuous air barrier under the slab , 6x6 remesh installed and wire tied together

Just have to chair the remesh after the hydronic heating tubing goes in tomorrow

Scheduled electrician for a whole house inspection along with attic since it wa s supposed to be cleaned out already. There were still coon droppings and I notified the guy he wasn't finished. Can't believe he actually said he was. Said that the attic was trashed. I said yes that's why I called him.
