Well the lighting in the garage has me baffled and Im pretty much ready to give up and buy news ones. These werent expensive to begin with (like 25 bucks each and only four of them). I thought it was the ballast so I picked up a new ballast with no luck. Same ballast as was installed just a newer revision (old is B new is C). But tried to test the ballast with my cheapo multimeter and it seems like it works. I clipped into the white wire then to each other wire and had .OL (open line) for resistance which means its good i guess? Changed bulbs with no luck. Checked another light and same thing. So looks like its a bigger project than I originally thought. Power to the lights is all good too (120v wise)

Need some suggestions on what it going one here.

My mom had her foundation lifted/leveled almost two years ago. A washout appeared shortly after and the foundation company has been out several times to refill the hole. All the plumbing was checked and is good.

So where is the dirt going?

Have you checked the neutral back to the box? You may also want to check the ground back to the box, some fluorescent ballasts are ground sensitive.

    Rodents?
Otherwise send a camera down. Make sure there isn't a sinkhole growing under moms home.

IMG_0345.jpg IMG_0477.jpg Made some progress in the hall bath this weekend. Old floor up, new floor down, new lights and paint finished. Waiting for granite to come in this week and need to re install the toilet... Otherwise done and happy with the results. Whole thing came in under $400.

Do it. The 75 is the one that no other brand can touch. The 55 is nice and the dust collection and a few other features are nice, but Makitas and dewalt are similar to the 55.

That looks good. Not bad for $400! That's a cool looking tile. Is that a new vanity? or did you paint the old one?

What track length do you think is most used ? I was thinking the 106" and 55" for sheet goods

Thanks! Tile was a great find - after going to half a dozen places ended up getting it on sale at lowes for $1.49 from $2.90. It's the old vanity, sanded and actually spray painted black. I put 3 coats on it, and sanded/steel wool in between each one, finishing it off with 3 coats of satin clear and am super pleased with how it turned out. The doors will go back on today - took them off to paint them better. Was able to order a clearance grey granite vanity top with white undermount from Home Depot for $180 that should get here this week.

Nice work on the cabinet and tile. We want to paint our natural color maple kitchen cabinets white, but that is just too much sanding. We're researching the Rustoleum Cabinet Transformation system...

Let me know how that toilet install goes with that style of wax ring. I bought that same one at HD but haven't done the install yet.

I used traditional rattle cans because I'm actively looking for investment properties in Phoenix and have seen many that have clearly had the rustoleum job done. As with everything else, the prep is everything, and if you're patient and diligent I'm sure you can have satisfactory results with the rustoleum kit. I am a perfectionist and wanted the cabinet to look like it came black from the factory, and it does. If I was painting the kitchen cabinets I'd either take them down and sand/rattle can them, purchase an air sprayer, or hire someone to spray them for me.

I used that wax ring for the first time last week in an apartment where the wax ring was causing a toilet leak because the floor wasn't even. This guarentees no leaks when the flange is like +/- 1/2" from the level of the floor (don't quote me on those figures). It worked very well and I was impressed with it, so i splurged ($6 more) and bought it for the peace of mind in this project, even though the floor is level, because the tile does sit about 1/8" above the flange, and this ring can be repositioned without any problems and I'm setting the toilet by myself...
