    This is the playset I put up last summer for my kids. I wanna expand it sometime. :devil: Rock wall, spiral slide, couple more towers, or maybe bridge it to second floor my barn.... I'm not sure yet. lol

    My parents are visiting this weekend, so my dad helped me run electric for a ceiling fan in my wife & mine master bedroom. The house is 30 years old and they never ran an overhead light fixture-only a switched circuit. I've got the electric ran and the ceiling fan fixture mounted. Now we just have to pick out the ceiling fan and hook up the wiring. I did this for our nursery room before our son was born and we like it much better-I don't understand why any would build a house w/o overhead light fixtures and/or ceiling fans....

    I don't understand why anyone would wire 3 sets of outlets to a light switch.... Then put a pellet stove in that room..... With the switch for the overhead light right next to the other switch.... :rolleyes: Or why the overhead light in our pantry is wired to the only outlet and switched outside the room.... (Found that out when I notice the freezer we put in that room was off. So either the freezer is off or the light is on 24x7.)

    Then again, this same house has no outlets in the upstairs bathroom and the 1 light is a fluorescent tube with the twist knob on the end furthest from the door. Like anyone's gonna find THAT in the dark. :rolleyes:

    Oh, and did I mention ALL the outlets in the 2 story barn are run off 1 light switch powered from a single 110v line from the house that's exposed for about a foot on either end before entering the dirt? :smack:

    I'd love to be left alone with the people that did that for 5 minutes.... Just 5 minutes. :annoyed:

    hey Tiger..you're not alone.....I live in a very nice "custom" home in Charlotte built by a high end builder.......I can't tell you how many stupid idiotic problems I find.....no drain in the basement...Cold water never gets cold....ceiling fans attached using 8 different screws.....the concept of quality construction is GONE.

    I agree. I've replaced our two 70's style living room light fixtures with 2 Hunter fans, added a "rainbow" color ceiling fan in the nursery for our 7 month old baby boy, and then the soon to be mounted fan in the master bedrooms. The kitchen has two already, and the dining room has one, so now every single room on the first floor has a fan :D We had a 16 Seer Amana heatpump put in when we bought the house a couple years ago, so between the ceiling fans and the 16 Seer heatpump, we've cut our electric by nearly 50% compared to window units and ceiling cable heat. The house is much more comfortable too.

    Yeah, I'm so sick of the half-ass shit in this house I'm ready to strangle someone. Get this, they took out a front door no big deal right? :rolleyes: Well it took us a couple trips in and out to realize the second set of flagstone steps on the outside didn't correspond to a DOOR on the inside despite a storm door at the end of the steps. They drywalled over the interior side, took the door knob off, and left the storm door on the outside! :annoyed: So before closing we had to put up a hand rail and patch broken steps that lead no where for the safety inspection.
