Okay I have a few projects coming up in the house mainly trim and needing a cordless nailer should I go with and angled or straight nailer?

And since I have all Milwaukee 18V tools now I am going with one of the two below.........

Our local restore has all the surplus university stuff a few times a year. You can find really cool 60s and older industrial cabinets and stuff in there. I have even seen medical tables and lights. But we have just recently matched 30s glass door knobs for $2 each for our house.

Sanded down the beam I'm using for our mantle. Was going to use a natural danish oil finish on it because I like the weathered look to it. However the right side of the front of the mantle is a completely different hue than the rest. I sanded it all evenly so I guess it's just how it weathered. Any idea on how to to make it more uniform? I'm open to staining it now. Anyone think the stain will bridge the gap between the two colors or would it still look a little off?

I say go with the variation. Where did you get this piece of wood?

Also the pic makes it look like you are hand carving a sofa....

Surprisingly it holds 200lbs if you use the spring (more fun) or 400lbs if you use the chain.

Generally, it's her that goes in the swing. BUT THERE'S ALL SORTS OF OPTIONS!

Hold on lemme go give the best Amazon review of my life...

The eyelet into the ceiling is about 4" long and through a stud with a pilot hole drilled first. I was surprised at how stable it was, even uhh...bouncing around.

I don't have kids, but for those that do, you could just unhook it (and hide it) from the eye bolt and tell people that's where the punching bag used to be. Another benefit, it works great for my heavy bag. SO MUCH CARDIO VERSATILITY IN 1 DEVICE!

Why not do hardwood or prefinished hardwood floors. I would not be concerned with moisture. Install a bathroom fan if you don't have one and dry up any spills as soon as you can. Real wood will look so much better than any vinyl.

    Agreed

How weathered do you want it to look. If you want a grey weathered look, Google vinegar/ steel wool weathered wood. Personally I like that look.

Haha. It's an old beam I pull out of my buddies barn. It's free so I'm not to concerned. My millwright guy said it's most likely butternut. Kind like walnut but a bit lighter.

It looks like natural variation in the wood. Staining will often make it even more noticeable. If it bothers you that much you can try staining that specific area a darker shade first and then staining the whole thing.

That is a quality Tape measure. It's about time they starting using a universal measuring system.

It is pretty hefty. I checked the CH increments against my ruler with standard and metric increments. The CH measurement is indeed unique.

This is a gift going to my air racing buddy. Our common term when doing just about anything mechanical included "red" cunt hair. This could not be more perfect. :)

Just picked up an Irwin Mobile Command Center toolbox. I'm tasked with annual teardown inspections and repairs of department firearms and often don't have a work space to perform the work. I still haven't fully outfitted it nor have I used it, but my initial impression are positive.
